Hi guys I was wondering which armies people enjoying playing with the most? This can be for whatever reason... You may love you Chaos because you win all the time with them or you might never be able to get rid of your Lost and the Damned force because they are just to entertaining to use. Maybe you love your Orks because of the hordes of troops that overpower your opponents tiny formations or you like Marines bcause they have so many tactical options. So which army is the most fun to use? I am interested to hear peoples reasons why they enjoy an army so much. |

To be honest any game, with any army would be great. I've voted Guard as (a) that's the 'one' I've most often used and (b) I've 3 different flavours. Standard, Mech and Seige |

Orks: I love the blunt tactics you sometimes have to employ to be succesful with them! |

My answer's all over the shop. Which army do I feel is strongest? Necron. Which army is most fun to play with and most competitive? Ork. Which army is plain out most fun for me to use? Dvergatal. Which armies do I want to have be more fun to play? Marines and Knightworld*. * And yes, I can and will try to do something about the latter in the new year. Morgan Vening |

Eldar Swordwind. Plays like a fencer in a frilly shirt taking on armoured knights or angry mobs, and beating them through skill and sheer grace. |

I like most of the armies in Epic, but I voted for Orks and Eldar: -Orks, their fluff is brilliant, and bringing it to the table is great!!! Smashing enemies with shootas and chopas, crushing them with superior numbers, and running along the table with the mighty kult of speed. -Eldar, from the point of view of playing and tactics, they have a wide variety of troops, they are fast, flexible and you can make any sort of tactics. |

I'm loving the look and feel of an Iron Warrior army; hard and brutal. I love the aesthetic of the Saim Hann and the Eldar in general, but haven't put the Epic force on the table yet. I have a soft spot for the Knights and Titans, and I've a thing for the forces of Slaanesh and Nurgle in general. I really likes me some Guard(/Imperial) tanks too, and I find the Guard army is a very forgiving army (so long as you don't bring a list like I did to the GT). In short: hard question. |

Its interesting to hear peoples opinions. The reason I asked this question was I am looking to start a new army and am completely undecided which to go for. Orks seem to be a top favourite for some really good reasons so they could be in the running (they also have the advantage that there are lots of them about). |

My vote was for Eldar, but then I am biased as I was in the 101st Airborne so wide open hit and run kinda fits with my training. Sorta ends up coming out on the gaming table ![]() No surprise the Orks come out on top. They have the most flexible orgainization, and the special rules make it so that even the newest player can get the most out of them in a battle. Put more bluntly, you can make a BIG mistake tactically with the Orks and they still have the potential to recover and win the battle. Space Marines, Dark Eldar, Eldar, and Tau are more finess armies that require a more tactically minded player. Make a mistake with any of these armies and you are goin to have a real hard time recovering from the error. On the flip side of the coin these armies pay huge rewards to a player well versed in how to ue them, tactically. IG, Chaos (Both), Siege, Necron, and Squats/Demiurg are more middle of the road armies. Not as flexible as the Orks, and not as restricted as the above Space Marines, Eldar, etc. in tactical flexibility. In other words, you will be restricted as to how the army is orgainized, but no to the degree of the above mentioned Space Marine, Eldar etc, but you will also be able to recover from a tactical error, just not to the degree the Orks can. Overall, and it is the great strength of the Epic-A system, no single army dominates, and one would be hard pressed not to find an army that doesn't fit their style of play. Any Army, period. With reasonable skill, and a bulldog determination to learn how to use your favorite army list, no single Epic-A army list to date cannot be used effectively on the gaming table. Using an army effectively doesn't always equate into victory all the time, but it DOES equate into always having a good game (win or lose) because you had a fun game. That, to me, IS the ultimate objective. Jaldon |

I was in the 101 too ... I guest I like the SMs' T/Hawks, Drop Pods and Dropships + the IG Jump Troops, Valkyrie and Vulture Lift & Gunships ... the whole Vertical Envelopment concept. Plus later on I was in the 197th Mech ... the Rhinos remind me of M113s !! ![]() |

ya I Like other armies in terms of look and style, but just for fun games of not caring if you win or lose its orks. I just always see in my head all the drivers of the tanks and stuff yelling WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! as they blaze a trail of smoke and dust behind them, and ya they just easy to use in game too. |
