So we have by counting hands last week half a dozen people willing to give Epic a go (or dust off old armies in a couple of cases).

I'll be along with a brace of armies to borrow, as will Gavin and hopefully a few others! However I may only be there by 1930 or so due to leaving drinks for my last lackey.

Anyone else who comes, grab a new person, a table and some terrain and show them the basics.

We thought 2000 point armies to keep it simple and possibly go through some of the training scenarios.

I'm sorry to be missing this - hopefully it'll mean there are plenty of other relatively new players when I can eventually come though. Very impressed at how friendly and helpful the Epic community seems to be everywhere.

And I of course am becoming more and more cold ridden as the day progresses

So we only did 3 intro-type games instead of 6+, but still, 3 is better than none!

As a club we play a number of different periods including

• Sci-fi (Epic - of course, spaceships, 40k occasionally, and even Battlemasters)
• Historical (FOG, DBR, C18th, C19th, naval - various periods etc)
• Boardgames (many and varied, mainly newer release multiplayer games)
