just a thought, just something i thought about, not sure if it would have any applicable use, but a special rule for some unit/s not sure what to call it either lol it was a passing thought. but her eit is (names purely for fluff atm) Dug In : when holding objectives, if this formation has more units with in 15cm than other combined formations units then this objective is considered to be claim by the dug in unit and not contested. just food for thought. The general rules are meant to apply in all scenarios, so it's probably not a good idea as a general special ability. For a scenario rule, however, it's an interesting idea. |

PM it to Chroma - he is putting together a bunch of special rules and scenarios for a new supplement. I think this would fit in nicely. |

A few scenarios will definitely have "Special Orders/Actions" allowed; it's odd that something specifically mentioned in the rulebook has never actually made an appearance in any of the published material. |

I was thinking that it might be a bit overpowered as a standard ability, especially because it would inevitably go on guard blob formations and other high number formations. But if it were an order so you had to trade off another potentially more useful order for it that might work well. Perhaps something like you don't get to move but you gain the benefits of "dug in" as in the OP in the end phase of that turn, and maybe some other fringe benefit such as BM removal or something. |
