Hi all! It has been quite some time since I haven't logged on those boards, as I haven't had much time for wargaming. So I'd start with a big hello to the whole Epic community! But the situation has changed and I'm now happy to have more free time again. My only problem is that I have just relocated from France to Dundee, Scotland, and therefore do not know any epic players here... So if There are some interested players not too far from Dundee, please contact me. P.S. : I'm not sure if it is the right place to post that, sorry if it is not. Cheers! |

I know of gamers in Dundee, no idea if they play Epic though. I can pass your details along? |

I' ve PMed you with my details. Thanks, this is much appreciated! Even if they don't play Epic wargaming a bit with nice people is always a pleasure. And who knows, maybe will I be able to convert those heretics to this game. |

For Christ sake! I've been here more than a year and you would have thought at least one of you would have remembered your ol' pal Warhead lives in Scotland. Thanks for watching my back guys! ![]() Sorry, Thurse, you'll have to forgive the manners of the Sassenachs and yanks, they can't help it, it's not their fault, mate. ![]() Anyway, I'm near Glasgow and although it's NetEpic I play (NetEpic:the next stage and far better version of Space Marine) I still have a shed load of Epic and a place to play the game in my house and would be very happy to have a game of EA so long as you don't mind a newbie. So if your ever passing down this way just get in touch. Circumstances permitting obviously. I have no transport for a long trip to Dundee unfortunately. |

67+ miles is practically abroad when you can no longer drive and have to rely on public transport. |

Well I don't have car myself but public transports should be fine for me. Dundee-Glasgow seems to take one hour and half by train. I've planned to spend some time in Glasgow quite soon, at least to visit the city during a week-end. Maybe we could share a few drinks, if you're not too busy, Warhead? ( your profile suggests that besides war games, we share the same passion for fermented beverages ). I'm PMing you my coordinates, so that we can get in touch. Having just arrived, I still have a lot of paperworks to do and administrative obligations to fulfill, but in the forthcoming weeks, I'll be very glad to "push some lead", whether it is NetEpic or Epic Armaggedon, or any other game, in fact. @Chris : thanks for your time and for the gaming clubs you sent me. I'll drop a mail to at least one of them quite soon. One of the clubs is a bit far but seems to have a friendly attitude and a mix a young and mature players, which is always nice. P.S. : They really should create bed and breakfast for wargamers : a nice room on the first floor and a nice game table on the ground floor, everything served by those beautiful but not too sophisticated Scottish barmaids. Grrrr ![]() |

Thurse, this sounds highly do-able. I've PM'd you with some details so it'll be nice meeting you in the near future. Watch out for the Barmaids in Glasgow though, they can be a bit... um, rough. |

Thurse, I am in Dundee and play E:A if you're interested. I go to a local club but also have a 4x4' table at home. |
