The situation Marine player ground attackes with thunderbolts Ork player lands with landa within 15 cm of the thunderbolts In end phase both flyers want to disengage, if the marine moves first will he be attacked by the AA of the Landa which at that point is a ground based AA unit? |

They disengage at the same time. So the Thunderbolts and the Landa move out together. At that point, the Landa can only use its AA attack if it doesn't disengage and stay on the ground. |

All disengage moves are simultaneous. There is no ground AA fire from landed aircraft if the landed aircraft is disengaging. If the landed aircraft chooses to remain on the ground, that works as normal for ground AA. |

Thought that was the case, yet they arrive differently so if the landa arrived first it would get to AA the thunderbolts |

I was under the impression players take turns Disengaging aircraft starting with higher SR army, so yeah, the SM player is screwed as he flies through the AA coverage of other aircraft. I hope the 'simultaneous' thing is true and request Page references, as I found it absurd the 'smarter' more disciplined army must always fly into the flak of the slower, ill-disciplined force. |

and I've always played it using whoever has initiative disengages first. I'm also sure this was discussed not that long ago. |

4.2.6 Disengagement Moves In the end phase, all aircraft that that have not landed must exit the table. Aircraft that have landed may choose to exit the table. Aircraft may exit along ANY table edge. Simply move the aircraft as you did when it made its approach move, until it reaches a table edge. This is called the disengagement move, and it takes place at the start of the end phase before any ground formations rally. No order is specified. |

And perhaps more importantly, only "ground" units may fire during a disengage move. From 4.2.4 Ground units that are armed with AA weapons can shoot at enemy aircraft as they move past them. To represent this, they may shoot at an aircraft formation that moved within their weapon range during their approach or disengagement move, even if the aircraft is no longer within weapon range when the attack is made. Attacks made against disengaging aircraft are resolved when the aircraft reaches the edge of the table, before it is removed to ‘fly back to base’. The only potential point of contention here is the order in which the players declare the transports that are staying on the ground (and hence become eligible to fire at disengaging A/c). |
