I'm trying to put together some "starting out" lists for Epic new-comers, so I thought I'd throw this out there for comments from the community. Lemme hear your thoughts.

4 Gunwagonz

The starter pack concept is great for beginners.  As for the character pack, I'd say put a Nob and a couple of Boyz on a base with a banner and call it good.  Save a chunk of change, that way.

Thanks Neal and Dave. I guess I'm trying to highlight the low cost of entry, and a 1,000pts army (while not providing the full Epic experience) is about 36-42 quid rather than 70+ quid.  

I take your point, though, and will be sure to mention that they'll likely want to progress purchasing another one or two thousand points worth of units in short order.
