Hi,
I want to order some blast markers from Litko, but as I don't have a clue on how many to order I would like to ask for some advice.

I'm talking on 3000 points, as I don't have the complete army yet I didn't play.

So my (probably silly) question is how many blast marker would I need to buy for one army.

Thanks,
Eyal.

I've got a tube full of red floral beads and there are about 30 or so in there but I don't often find myself needing more than half of that at any given (including what my opponent uses) time so 15-20 sounds like it should be more than enough unless you have a load of large formations.

I think I bought 3 of the small packs, which is 20-something, with 2 of the large packs (maybe 6?) for 5-BM markers.  I've not run out in any game up to about 5,000 points.

I bought 15 Litko markers and mounted them on old Clix bases with custom dials that I printed myself:

Not the best pictures I'm afraid, but with each BM having 1 to 12 on its dial, you could potentially have 180 blast markers on the table!  That would be a sight to see.

Great work, I've often considered making blast dials myself!

That's an extremely cool idea, javelin98!

I think I have some Mage Knight models somewhere that I never even used...

My other thought was to drill into the bottom of the Litko blast marker and install a peg, then print a dial onto mailing label paper and stick that to a 25mm base.  Then I'd drill a hole in the center of the base for the peg and stick it in there without glue, so the BM could rotate freely on top of the base.  The final step would be to mark one point of the bottom of the BM to be the pointer;  this way, you could rotate the Litko BM itself to point to the number of BMs it represents.

But, I had lots of these Clicky bases lying around, and decided to do it that way.  It's all good.
