Hi all,

I'm pretty new to the E:A community, and I'm wondering if there is a BoLS equivalent for E:A? You know, a blog site that discusses emerging rumours and such?

Cheers!

Not really, since there aren't any emerging rumours, and haven't been for several years.

What is BoLS?

Bell of Lost Souls, a 40k rumours blog that is usually first to leak pictures and rules etc for new models.

Yeah. BoLS seems to be something of a "mouth piece" site through which GW leaks information they want to community to know. It has been a great boon for customer relations.  :)

Welcome to the land of real wargames! WIth any luck you'll find Epic to be a lot more fun than 40k; and something that makes it so damned good (although it may seem strange at first) is EXACTLY the lack of any such rumour mongering from savage capitalist companies attempting to excite the customer base with the latest in uber beardy/silly/cheesy releases (i mean C'MON a landraider that can't even traverse all of it's lascannons in the right directions...pah!).

Well; rant aside, yes, welcome. What armies have you been trying out? What are you thinking of collecting etc? Ebay, a place called barter town, and the trade notice part of this site make Tactical Command a real friendly and useful little community for someone collecting epic; most things can be found second hand and reclaimed even if they're in poor condition (see the 'strippers' thread) and THEN you can use the GW site to pick up anything your missing.
Feel free to ask questions, we're all friendly!

The closest thing to BoLS we have is this web forum... any news about Epic breaks, you'll hear it on these forums pretty quickly.

For the most part there aren't all that many rumours though, as Epic is a pretty stable game system (There's no drive from the sales department to keep updating the armies all the time so as to excite customers with the 'next big thing', it's a bit more mature than that).

What a wonderfully positive spin on a bad situation.

hey, the community driven development was what drew me into EPIC in the first place.

that and the reduced need for storage space.

At least I was half right.

While more support from GW would be welcome, I would say that the positive aspect to their lack of support for Epic is that the system stays relatively stable, which is a refreshing change from the 40k/Fantasy games, where the constant drive for updates really does irritate me some of the time.

As has already been stated, if there were any rumours regarding Epic, they would surely end up being posted here, so I would just keep abreast of developments (if there are any) by reading the posts on this forum.
