Well, here it is. The list I'm currently using for EpicA Orks. Its not quite my ideal list, but its what is all mostly made and painted. I would like a Stompy list, but have and need some KoS. Warband (warboss with 4Nobz and eight boyz) Extras- 5 Boyz (+5 free grotz) 2 Squiggoths (counts as battlewagons) 2 Squiggoths 2 Flak wagons and 3 wartrukks 1 Stormboyz,1 Kommando and 3 Gunwagons Total=750pts 3 Stompas Extras- 2 Stompas 4 Dreads 4 Dreads Total=475pts KoS (4 gunwagons) Extras- 4 Gunwagons 1 Mekboy speedsta Total= 350pts KoS (5 Warbikes) Extras- 1 Scorcha,1 buggy, 3 Warbikes 1 Mekboy speedsta Total= 350pts Big Gunz Battery (5 biggunz) Extras- 5 Big Gunz 1 Soopa gun Total= 325pts Gargant=750pts Grand Total = 3000pts. My big Gunz I garrison. It gives me a good deal of long range firepower from the off (especially the soopa gun) The rest moves on as normal. What do you think? |

Looks reasonable to me. "Subing" the S/Goths as battle wagons makes sense. ?Like I have said before, some "melding" the old with the new may be required. ![]() ![]() |

For my Soopagun I'm using a little plastic gun platform. Not sure what it is originally. I got it with loads of other stuff, there were a few of them. They look a bit like the zap gunz in the big gunz blister, but larger, and have four wheels on the carriage. ![]() Anyone know what I mean? I have started painting my Gargant, and its looking good. I have got hold of some flock I'm going to use on my epic stuff from a model shop (their stuff was 75p a bag compared to GW's ?1.50 ! ). I'll be going back there (I've only just found it) as they have loads of goodies. Plasticard, flock of loads of varieties, loads of terrain (will check the different scales) balsa wood and more. I didn't have a good look first time, since my GF was with me. |

I used to base all my minis with green flock.. but now I use drybrushed sand with little clumps of static grass- while it may take longer, it makes any model look far better than just flocking, even if it is averagely painted.... ![]() |

That sounds pretty similar to what I'm going to do. The flock is a browny colour, it looks like mud all churned up. I used to use sand and drybrush it myself, but now I dont have to bother. I too am then going to add a little static grass in clumps to add a bit of colour and break up the mud effect. If there is ruined sections, I add a little clump of static grass on it to look like weeds over growing. |

Yeah cool, that sounds good.... I paint the sand with watered down Bestial Brown which "seals" it on, and then drybrush with Bleached Bone to get a nice "deserty" effect. ![]() |

Hi, Forgive me if you don't find this funny but: I started wondering today: What's actually left of Epic Armageddon as of now? I mean - what's left that can be taken away and have an impact on the game's future? Nothing! That's very very bright actually! I mean - you got nothing, so what do you've got to lose? NOTHING! ![]() (I don't remember the exact quote of mr. Gilliam). The only thing I could find that would have some was perhaps The Mail Order store... but then again - most people buy their cars, grunts, ships on ebay anyhow, right? Or Forge World for that matter. So as I see it - things can only go up from here. ps. Do not mention the Feral Orks. |

Here's a link to a Q & A with jervis from GenCon that seems to indicate there are still a few more releases to come from specialist games (including feral orks) within the next sixth months. http://www.gamingreport.com/article....thold=0 So perhaps things arn't so bad, at the end of the day support for specialist games was cut back because games workshop overestimated the LotR bubble and was forced into some rapid restructuring. But support wasnt dropped and given time will probably grow again (just slowly) |

The main thing that can be taken away, as far as I'm concerned, is the expectation of new minis. No new minis, no new players. You would still have veteran players, like me, still playing, but many others would lose interest. Unfortunately, many players lose interest in a game when GW ceases supporting it. However, I think it's safe to say we can expect some new things in the future. What I find hard to believe is that the "brain trust" at GW thought interest in LOTR would continue much beyond the release of Return of the King. Even I saw that coming a mile away. I readily admit that I tend to be a pessimist, but I do truly believe E:A will survive a little longer. Granted, it might be a lingering death... ![]() |

Epic -it be E:A or NetEpic- will never die as long as there's miniatures available. If official support ceases I think there's a big enough following to create NetEpic Armageddon. The main problem is as always supply of miniatures so let's keep our fingers crossed that GW will keep everything available and perhaps supplement with some of the archive stuff. ![]() Cheers! ![]() |

Problem is, there have been no new Epic articles since the Fanatic magazine was dropped. That is, articles which were not published in said magazine. Support indeed... ![]() |
