Hi All
New to EA and just wondering, is there any reason why a player would not take the free Rhinos and just place their troops on foot?
Other question is, if you take the marines with the Rhinos, surely they do not need to start in them or ever use them for transport. Is this correct?
I am thinking that they can be used for other purposes such as to soak up suppression and the like. Would I be correct?
Thanks in advance

When you ditch the rhinos you can garrison your marines. And it is common practice to keep marines out of rhinos when not trying to make rhino assault, marines just hug their rhinos to get -1 to enemy shooting from being in cover.

You also can't use rhino's to soak up to suppression unless they are in range of the enemy (15cm). Hopefully if the enemy is that close you have support from other formations and are prepared to assault.
