G'day folks,

for those of us 'down under' (and no, we NEVER say that here, its only you Northern Hempisphere type who say that!) you will know that the specialist games website still says this:

"The release date for Australia has not been set yet, but we will let you know what it is as soon as we know ourselves. You can order the game by contacting your local Mail Order department once the game has been released. Epic players that live outside Europe can order Epic from February by contacting Games Workshop UK Direct team."

I have (again) inquired this week about how much longer we have to wait, and got this reply for the GW Aust Hobby Service Centre:

"Currently Epic Armageddon and the Epic range of models are not available through the Oz business. The US or UK web-stores are the avenues to currently get the models. However, we are getting Specialist Games and components through our webstore over the next 12months. Something to look forward to!"

Something indeed, with the emphasis on forward I guess...

So sorry, not good news but I thought you might like the latest from the horse's mouth

Cheers,
Tas
And now back to Sea again

Within 12 months huh, that doesn't sound too bad... My local shop in New Zealand is planning on stocking epic once its an Australasia item.

Have those here in this neck of the world found it cheaper to order through GWUK or GWUS for postage?

I'm looking at a 100 pound ish order next week and need to scrimp and save on every (new) penny!

Cheers

UK - I've had some bad experiences ordering from the US.

Hi Tas,

this was discussed on WAU a while back. The pricing seems to differ and the best bet seems to be actually comparing prices between US & UK mail orders and selectively ordering from each. Try comparing a few prices and you'll see what I mean.. :D

As for GW Oz, the plan is to take orders and then immediately place an order on the UK (only keeping minimal stock on the shelf). this way it still takes a while to arrive but the freight costs are only from Sydney rather than international mail order freight costs..

Interesting, and the only issues I have ever had was two orders from the UK side.  ???

My last order was from GW UK, and it ended up 10% cheaper than GW OZ, even factoring in shipping.

(Although I haven't tried any canadian stores, I might check them out for my next order)

Hi!

I mainly order to GWUK as well, marginally cheaper and available way before it is in GWUS.

Thanks for the feedback Guys, I'll shop around online and see what the best deal is, but I'm leaning toward UK right now.

Cheers!

Sorry if this is a noob question but is the rulebook sold by the US GW online store have the errata corrections in it or not? Thanks.

To my knowledge, the printed rulebook does *not* have the errata corrections in.

Of course, anyone can feel free to contradict me on this, and I'd be glad if they did :)

OK, then I guess it would be better to get the online PDF and take it to Kinko's or whatever and get it bound. Thanks for the response!
