Yes, I know, hardly original. But, another thread had me admitting that I dont like the old Marine Sergeant mini, and others do. So, post your opinions on:

Favourite:
Infantry trooper
Light Vehicle
Standard Tank
Super Heavy
Flier
Titan (type and class)
Other (in case I missed anything)

Least favourite:
Infantry trooper
Light Vehicle
Standard Tank
Super Heavy
Flier
Titan (type and class)
Other (in case I missed anything)

Mine are:

Favourite:
Infantry trooper - Marine Commander, or Chaos Marine
Light Vehicle - the old Imperial Guard bikes
Standard Tank - probably the original Whirlwind, or the first Ork Stompa
Super Heavy - Hellbore, no doubt
Flier - The new Imperial Thunderbolts from FW
Titan (type and class) - The original Reaver
Other (in case I missed anything) - cant think of anything

Least favourite:
Infantry trooper - Marine Sergeant
Light Vehicle - original Sentinel
Standard Tank - The second edition Ork Battlewagons
Super Heavy - Stormhammer (I think, with the missiles)
Flier - The old Chaos Tzeentch fliers
Titan (type and class) - No contest, the second Phantom

Bearing in mind I missed most models from the earliest SM releases 'til now.

Favourite:
Infantry trooper; the old ork madboy
Light Vehicle; prob the old ork buggy
Standard Tank; older Leman Russ, the ones with bolters, sandbags etc
Super Heavy; so far the FW Baneblade
Flier; has to be the new thunderhawk (closely followed by the ork landa
Titan (type and class); ole beetle back
Other (in case I missed anything); not sure

Least favourite:
Infantry trooper; the original marine trooper
Light Vehicle; has to be the new Deth Kopter
Standard Tank; prob the old ork battletank (with skull)
Super Heavy; hmmmmm
Flier; the original thunderhawk
Titan (type and class); the proposed new revenant
Other (in case I missed anything); any/all of the Daemon figs

Hmmm tough one...

Favourites:
Infantry: Any of the new Chaos Space Marines. ((But FW Grey Knights will probablt top them many times over)
Light Vehichle: New IG sentinel.
Tank: Close race between the mk1 Basilisk and the e40k Leman Russ
SHT: Probably the mk1 Shadowsword... There's something about the TempestI allways liked though... But once the mk2 Scorpion is released I think we have  a winner...
Flier: the Marine Dropship
Titan: the Reaver... and possibly the mk3 Great Gargant variants.

Worst models:
Infantry: Mk1 Eldar guardians (they jusk keep breaking)...or Ratling snipers.
Light Vehichle: Don't know if SM era Chaos Daemon qualify for this category but the Flamers of Tzeentch were pretty awfull. The Ork plastic buggies never took my fancy either.
Tank: No doubt here: the mk2 Vindicator.
SHT: the E40k Cobra.
Flyer: The mk1 Nightwing
Titan: Either of the e40k Eldar titans.

Favourite:
Infantry trooper- Marine commander... a timeless classic.. :;):
Light Vehicle- Do Eldar Knights fall into this catagory? ..the old Wraithlords were pretty cool too...
Standard Tank- All of FW's Eldar range...
Super Heavy- The new Scorpion (when it comes out), or FW's Stormsword...
Flier- FW Valkyrie.. and the Thunderbolt.. oh and maybe the Marauders too- but when the Eldar flyers come out.. they will beat everything I'm sure.
Titan (type and class)- Mk1 Eldar Phantom... and the original Reaver or course..
Other (in case I missed anything) FW make rather nice terrain too....

Least favourite:
Infantry trooper- the Ork Nobs
Light Vehicle- plastic SM bikes
Standard Tank-those horrible old Vindicators...
Super Heavy- none really...
Flier- 1st Thunderhawk
Titan (type and class)- Megagargant and, (even though I bought one) the Imperator...
Other (in case I missed anything)- The Goliath megacannon is pretty horrible imo...

[EDIT] ..do you mean the old Stormblade CS? -it had a plasma blastgun and a rack of missiles...

[EDIT2] ..oh, and add the horrible Khorne demon engines to my 'dislike' list...

Well I like most of the Epic pieces past and present ... but I hate Knights any and all !  The SM1 versions should be used as fishing weights !  Yuch !!!! :angry:  The SM2 types aren't much better, but I did convert the plastic ones that came with TL to Chaos !  :;):  Chaos is the forgotten army, IMO and they could have used more stuff !  Was not that crazy about all the SM2 Hell Knights but did a few conversions and they are in my forces, anyway. :D  The Banelord Titan didn't work for me ... didn't buy it.  Didn't like most of the Chaos Titan bitz either so didn't buy any of those !!!   The Mk.1 T-Hawk was pretty bad too, but it is in my collection ! :;):   The rest of the stuff is O.K. with me ... after 14 years of "Epicing" and 9 or so armies, I have a lot to choose from !

Standard Tank - tie between latest Deathstrike launcher/latest Manticore launcher
Super Heavy - new Scorpion
Flier - Landa!!!!!!!!!!
Titan (type and class) - Mk 1 Revenant
Others - sorry L4, the oldest Knight lancers

Least favourite:
Infantry trooper - Epic SM Tzeentch disc rider
Light Vehicle - Epic SM bikes
Standard Tank - the Space Marine era plastic Ork Battlewagon
Super Heavy - nothing really bad
Flier - the weird Eldar Epic SM era Nightwing
Titan (type and class) - Epic 40K era faceted Phantom

Flier - Eldar Vampire Raider
Titan (type and class) - Original Metal Reaver

Least favourite:
Infantry trooper - Original Space Marine (too small)
Light Vehicle - Original Land Speeder Mk1
Standard Tank - Original Plastic Orc Tanks
Super Heavy - Can't think of one, so I will say "new" Eldar Titans again here.
Flier - Original Eldar Night Wing
Titan (type and class) - BB Warlord or the new Eldar Titans

I do not "like" them, I just did not think they were the worst thing made. I kept some in both my IG and Eldar armies just for fun though.  :;):

Well if they are re-introduced in the upcoming Adeptus Mechanicus list it's certainly a possibility. I'd personally like to see something which looks more like a walking weapons platform than a cyborg spacemarine... really: the plastic Knights were pretty awfull :(

You can hardly say the metal Eldar Knights are not works of art... no really, you can't, can you....  :;):
-btw... Does your aversion to Knights come as a result of your more 'realistic' take on Epic L4, or do you just dislike the models/the concept?

Good question Storm, I'd say both. Unrealistic ... the whole concept as well as the models didn't work for me. But if you guys like'm - use'm !    :;):

Mine got converted to Chaos......hmmm....that seems to happen alot around my place.... :p
