I do not feel like having to dig through tons of cow poo to find out. Did Jervis ever make a final call on the whole Pop-Up Attack issue? Or did he leave it in the "No One is Happy" mess it was in a while ago. dafrca |

Hmmm ... I'm not sure ... we just will do it the old way ... unit "pops up", shoots ... one unit on First Fire/Over Watch - "snap-fires" ... surviving "pop ups" go back down under cover. End that unit's activation ... ![]() |

There were tons of angry exchanges, but I never saw a solution offered that was better then the rule L4 just outlined. ![]() dafrca |

Hi! I dont think one exsists. We tried many and kept on coming back to the original AT rules. As L4 says, if it works why fix it? Primarch |

I and many others ask that very question when JJ posted he wanted to change it. Seems he does not like it. All I saw he did was open the forum to a ton of posts arguing one odd answer or another. Some of the offered solutions were out right stupid. dafrca |

The "Pop-up" rule we use is simple, based on SM2. ?As it simulates a helo-gunship (Apache, Cobra, etc.,) hovering behind cover, poping-up, firing, and going back under cover. ?Been there, ?did that ! ?Too many guys don't get "reality-centric" rules and are off in the Ether, with comic book ideas. ?Many of Jervis's ideas for E:A are based on reality ! He quotes history, ?real world military concepts, etc., throughout the the on line formation of the E:A rules ... ? ? ![]() ![]() |
