I've not really had the chance to plau a lot of EA, but managed to get a couple of games in yesterday (nothing fancy or too big, just approx 1000 points per side) just to try out some of the different rules.

In the first game, Orks versus Space Marines, I got really beaten with virtually nothing left on the table and the Space Marines only lost two Razorbacks!
The second game, we were trying out the artillery rules, Imperial Guard versus Orks (with a few Soopa Guns) and guess what the Orks got beaten again.
It was surprising how effective Imperial Guard were in close combat against Ork vehicles (compared to E40K) and how ineffective Basilisks were (again compared to E40K).
The more I play EA the more I like it.
I like the fact that close combat is really nasty and dangerous.
I like the fact that a supressed unit is ineffective (keeping their heads down).
I actually quite like the generalisation of the Ork units, I could use a variety of models, count them all as gunwagons (or battlewagons) and this made for fast play.
I had fun even though I lost.

close-up shot (sorry slightly out of focus)

by Snapdragon Studio and sadly now OOP.
They made some fantastic 6mm buildings and it's a pity they don't anymore.

Hi!
Would a large enough order entice them to make some more?
By the way, Jimbo, did you get my PM?

Thanks Jimbo, they're nice stuff - don't think I'd ever heard of them, and pity they're so irregular.

Hi Guys, There was a guy trading around the wargames shows in the UK as Snapdragon and I believe he sold out to someone else but the company is still going. Don't know if this helps or not, but I have seen Snapdragon at shows in the UK at Bournemouth (STAB) and some of the other shows in the south. Another good company for models is Mainly Military. They have a large chemicals works which is great and an aircraft hanger that looks good, all 1/300.

I've bought some stuff from Mainly Military, they have a lot of interesting stuff. But It took forever to get to the US !

For those of you playing EA, I am soliciting all opinions on anti-Eldar tactics, especially those applicable for use by SM and CSM forces.
What I am interested in are tactics that a well rounded, tournament-style force could use against Eldar. I am not interested in army selection suggestions. I can definitely tool up an anti-Eldar army pretty easily but that doesn't help on the fly.
The problem that I run into is that Eldar have hordes of MW fire. A lot of the SM and CSM unit cost comes from the fact that they are definitely well-armored. MW negates that and as both forces are few in number, Eldar seem tailor-made to shred SM and CSM. I have yet to find tactics that work consistently.
Thanks for any help, guys.

I've had success with the usual drop-podding Scouts supported by Thunderhawks and Terminators. The scouts can assault Eldar vehicle formations (Falcons, Prisms, Engines of Vaul) on Turn 1 and make the Eldar spend turn 1 dealing with the nuisance while I get to keep the initiative and maneuver for positions. To summarize, do what Marines always do: kill the soft firepower fast.
