Neal,

Maksim: Are you thinking of Man-o-War or the Warmaster stuff? ?Something about your post makes me think you are referring to Warmaster. ?WM is definitely too big, and the gyrocopter looks very dwarvish, but I was hoping MoW would be close enough.

I just uploaded your new E-mail to my address book and will send you some photos later pending an attack of laziness.

I don't have photos of the Fantasy Flyers and I think I have a photo of some of the sci-fi flyers, but I'm not 100% sure.

I do, however, have photos of many of the 6mm Irregular sci-fi ground forces though. ?

Just checked Jimbo's page, and didn't see any Koptas under Orks or Conversions. Would they be someplace else? Are there any pics available on-line?

I don't think there are any photos on-line, but I might have some in my photo storage that I can send you.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Well, I ordered a MoW Gyrocopter with my bitz order yesterday.  I'll be sure to report on its utility as a Deth kopta once it comes in.

Just got some Pendraken 10 mm Aliens & Lizardmen.  The aliens look just like the "Aliens" in the movies !  Will make good 'Nids. The L/men, both Inf. & Mtd. will make good ... I don't know what ?  Maybe Slann as Primarch has suggested, but they are pretty "neat" too ...

eventually I am hoping to have a Jimbo's workbench which will show a lot of my work in progress... in the meantime here is a picture of my dethkopta work in progress

I have 12 of them, based on Ork buggies (with the wheels cut off), using a part of the bases sprue and plasticard.

I only have painted miniatures in my galleries hence the inability of you to find this picture...

Here is what Jimbo's Workbench "may" look like (it will cover both Epic and WH40K as well as other "stuff".

Workbench - Grotbomb Launcha

Workbench - Burnaboyz

Nice, Jimbo.  I'm pretty sure I never woudl have thought to use the base sprue bits, even though I've been saving them for some yet-to-be-named purpose.

Thanks.

Who else is making Deth Koptas or other E-A units that have yet to have miniatures sculpted?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I think I'm going to use some of the Ork Frigates from BFG as the new Ork Assault Boats.  They have a decently orky look and the same general profile as the Thunderhawk, for a nice parallel.

I'm going to proxy a bunch of boyz as Stormboyz for playtesting, but if anyone has an idea for quick jetpack conversions, I'm all ears.

How about some of those thin Coffee "straws" stirrers like these:

or

Think of very thin two part straws. You could cut then to length and they would look like large "backpacks on the backs of Epic scale figures. Maybe a little Greenstuff to "cap" them and there you go. Cheep and easy

Neal,

If you in the USA check in almost any cheap doughnut shop.

Another idea might be to use Plastruct tubing to get the rocket packs.

That reminds me. Has anyone seen (or own) the 6m  Adler sci-fi infantry?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Yes, I think that I have some too. The trouble is that the all get added to the box, with GZ and other stuff, and I can't always tell who made what.

But, I did buy some, so I must have been at least a little impressed.
