Right, I've now done 17 hours on this pic. I managed to do a little blitz tonight for over 2hrs and really put a dent in it!

Just a few more things to do like adding corpse rifles, insignia and rank markings, debris, boot work and maybe some aircraft?

I can honestly say that this is now ALMOST finished!!!  

Really looking forward to it!

So am I! Considering this was originally going to be a 2hr speed paint it really has gone out of control! But then again, I am really pleased with it so far - the time spent seems to have paid off.

With any luck I will finish the pic tonight. Failing that, it'll be by saturday.  

Both Chaos lists, Ulthwe, Cadians, and,there's some discussion going on about other additions.

The book will also include scenarios, painting guides, etc... and some fabulous art!

Unfortunately we don't... I'm thinking late Spring/early Summer 09 most likely... depends on how playtesting, art, photos, writing, and all the other stuff goes... *laugh*

I can now announce that my Cadian Charge pic is now complete!!  

I do indeed declare victory over this piece of artwork, a piece that originally was meant to be an anatomical study of a bayonet-charging soldier but which exploded into this beast you see before yourselves!!

Man Oh Man this is amazing! So much detail throughout the picture. That guardsman in the foreground needs to floss.

I keep noticing more each time I look at it. I really like it and it was enjoyable to watch it developed throughout the process.

Awesome stuff!

If I might suggest one final improvment - I would give a little more definition to the faces of the guardsmen's faces in the background, even if it is just shadows for eyes and cheeks.

Overall, it is a truly impressive piece, I too am astounded at the detail. My favourite bit somehow must be the Imperator although the lasgun is probably the most technically well-executed parts, it's very, well, real-looking!
