Hey, we should lobby for benefits based on the fact that Epic gaming/collecting is an addiction, therefore a disease.  We need to have government money to support our habit!!  Or we'll go into withdrawal and do bad things.

my  :D  :D cents,

Hi!

Not a bad line of reasoning iblisdrax, we can demand funds under the "americans with disabilities act", due to the addiction to buy epic minis.

It wont work, but man the face on the government worker when hearing the reasoning would be priceless.

Chris, at 21 I was playing 1 to 1 scale wargames ! ?

I've already done that...paintballing is so much fun!  :D But I know you mean the proper full blown stuff.

And ?15 for a reaver is a little steep! Warlords used to be ?15 in Epic 40K didn't they? I don't even want to know how much the Warhound is going to be, and if they make a new version of the Imperator, we might just have to take out a bank loan!

Cheers

Chris

Hi!

Thats the same reaver they've been using since AT!

It originally sold for 10 dollars and have repackaged it and re-selling it for a whopping....

... 18 dollars.

Talk about mark ups.

Hi!

:D  Good one L4 I use that line about dinner and a movie a lot too. One of the reasons epic 40k did poorly was the price jump, too expensive.

I just cant understand why they cant leave sprues at 3.50 US and most blisters of 3 for around 8 dollars. Thats the price they sell at and well.

Go figure.

Well it seems the price of 12 pound for 4 land raiders is correct, since its been updated to that on the GW website: http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefr....=300808

Other than the rule book, most of the prices seem ok IMO. The thing that bothers me way more than the prices, is the numbers of models in some boxes\blisters not fitting with the formation sizes. Eg in the Ork warband box, there are enough boyz and grotz for 4 warbands, but only enough nobz to go with 2 of those warbands :\. And 3 whirlwinds and 1 hunter in a blister, when whirlwinds are a formation of 3.

I thought exactly that, but just to add further confusion, the Whirlwind/Hunter blister doesn't actually contain 3 Whirlwinds and 1 Hunter as specified on the Mail Order page, but enough parts for any combination. In other words there are 4 Whirlwind turrets and 4 Hunter turrets in each blister so you can make whichever formation you prefer.

Yes, it is rather a waste of the spare turrets I know, but thats just the way its been packed so please dont ask me why as I have no idea.

Hope that helps.
Regards
Carl

PS: Hope everyone had a nice holiday and happy 2004.

Phew! I'm very relieved to hear this. Until now I was planning on just buying the Hunter launchers as bits (is this at all possible throught Uk MO these days?) and stick them to plastic Rhino hulls.

Things to do: Include Wwhirlwind/hunters in my EA preorder :)

Cheers!

Hi!

GW packaging has always been screwy, thats nothing new. Just get use to a lot of extras.....then again extras aren't so bad.  :)

Really?  Even with our crappy Aus$ to UK Pound exchange rate?

I'm glad you feel happy (really I am) but I think you may be in the minority mate!  :)

Any idea how long until pre-Orders get to us here in Oz?
