Neal : where did you get the titan colours from? Is there somewhere it states what colours certain titan legions had?

As I worked on this post, it slowly became a minor tour de force of titan links.

The pic above of the Storm Lords is from Armorcast.  They also published a list of all the GW-source titan legions as of Inquisitor 14.  That's their pub, not the GW Inquisitor game pub.  Since this has come up several times in the past, I've copied it for the forum:

=======

Armocast lists the following sources on their site from when they had the GW license:

http://www.armorcast.com/warhammer40k/PaintingTips.html

TITAN PAINT SCHEMES REFERENCE SOURCES
The second edition Titan Legions Codex Titanicus book has color schemes for three Imperial Titan orders (Legio Victorum, Legio Ignatum, Legio Metallica) and two unspecified Eldar Titan clans as well as Goff and Evil Sunz Ork clans.

The first edition Adeptus Titanicus rulebook has color schemes for the Imperial Fire Wasps and traitor Death's Heads Titan orders as well as a useful short article on painting Epic Titans.

The first edition Codex Titanicus book has color schemes for three more Imperial Titan orders (Warp Runners, Morning Stars, War Griffons) and two more traitor orders (Flaming Skulls, Stormlords). Also described and pictured are four Eldar Titan clans.

The old Battle Titans box also has Epic size banners and flags for Imperial Titan orders Fire Brands, Imperial Fists and Imperial Hunters and traitor orders Tiger Eyes, and Fire Masters.

=======

Scott Shupe's Eye of Terror page (now static) also has a link for heresy era titan banners that could help with logos and color schemes.

http://home.earthlink.net/~sshupe/EPIC/banners.html

============

Since Armorcast's listing above, I know GW has added (in Citadel Journal):

http://www2.vigyan.com/ilibrar....Legions

Burning Stars/Suns of Damnation (pre/post heresy names, Tzeentch, no color scheme stated, Princeps Skylok)

Silver Scythes/Festering Death (pre/post heresy, Nurgle, no colors, Princeps Bubonis)

===========

There is a knight house that fell to Slaanesh during the seige of Terra and which started the Slaanesh knight daemon engines, but there seems to be no additional detail.  I did find a "Spawns of Horus" titan legion dedicated to Slaanesh which might tie in, but it was in a home-grown set of rules and I don't know if it was drawn from a GW source or not.  It's here:

http://home.earthlink.net/~sshupe/EPIC/ ... itans.html

=======

Maybe I should just start cataloguing this crap.
:oo

I converted another batch of three Stompas and visited an older married friend who hasn't broken out his minis in years. We talked and played some board games (anyone remmber TSR's old game, Dungeon?) and then he did something that took me from out of the blue...

He asked me to take his old minis so they'd get some use again.

At any rate, pertaining to this thread's theme, one of the "finds / treasures" was an old Ork dreadnought (circa early 1990s). It was the one that came in three body sections and had the shriveled up Gretchin piloting it.

I was playing with the model when I realized that if you leave the middle section out, the piece is dieing to become a steam Gargant.

What does everyone think of that conversion?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I presume you mean this model

You would need to epic"ise" it a bit, but it could work.

I'm so pleased that GW's sculpters improved.  :D

That really is not nice.

Hi!

Ah come on shadow hunter, models from that period look "quaint". I especially like the look of the ork stuff from that period, it looks rundown and makeshift, suitably orky!
