Warp Rift...hmm ok they fit a common theme but i can't think of a reasion this 4 armies would be interlocked in one campaign.
Expecially Red Corsairs and Blood Pact. Aren't the Sabbat Worlds a bit to far away that they could met? The Red Corsairs tend to plague the space around the Maelstrom only. Red Corsairs aren't so keenon summoning large amounts of Daemons too which would be a must to justify a Daemon army.

Yeah, did say it wasn't well thought out. I kind of meant any old pure-traitor guard force.

A sabbat worlds supplement (blood pact vs tanith!) might be a possibility. But since I've not seen any lists that might be a bit artificial.

The Red Corsairs and the Daemons need not be working together...

Oooh, Alpha Legion might be a cool force for a supplement!

Alpha Legion, Blood Pakt and Tanith (there is a list somewhere here) would fit good :)

Red Corsairs, Traitor Guard and some Loyal PDF ad/or Witchhunters would fit good too.

Oh! and Word Bearers (perhabs plus Chaos Daemons), Imperial Guard and Skitarii for a recreation of the Novel "Dark Apostle" :)

    So, I see 4 categories emerging here.

    1) Multi-army supplements Supplements (3+ armies, at least 1-2 new armies - Raiders)
    2) Mini-supplements (2-3 armies, mostly variants - Siege of Mossino)
    3) Campaign Settings
    4) Rules Supplements (I think the only thing here is expanded WE rules/ATIII)

    Also, consensus on content combinations is emerging quickly.  Taking a few liberties to combine various people's ideas, throwing in a few notes about scenarios and campaigns I can lay hands on fairly easily, and throwing in some goony names...

    =============
    Supplements
    =============

    Black Crusade (Chroma wants to do this, iirc)
    Black Legion
    LATD
    Ulthwe
    Cadians
    13th Co (optional)
    (I have a ?Grey Crusade? mini-campaign we wrote and played)

    The Greater Good
    Tau
    Elysians
    Ordo Xenos (optional)
    Orks (optional)

    Hive War
    Tyranids (Phase IV)
    Iyanden Eldar
    Ultramarines (campaign-specific army list, or Lamentors)
    Catachans (optional)
    Genestealer cult (optional)
    Ordo Xenos (optional)
    I have a ?Bug Hunt? scenario (Space Hulk style "kill the Dominatrix", with hidden Nid deployment) we played several times

    The Fall of Gryphonne IV (E&C)
    Legio Gryphonnicus
    Skitarii Gryphonnicus
    Hive Fleet Leviathan (a lighter Phase IV list)

    =================
    Mini-supplements
    =================

    The Siege of Mossino (Redux) (E&C)
    Krieg
    'directors cut' Mossinian

    "Mean and Green" (Armageddon Prime and Jungle) (I would be willing to work on this)
    Ork Hunters or Catachan
    Salamanders
    Orks (w/ Rokk fortresses)
    I have a tested scenario - Titans and Catachan assault on a Rokk that landed in the jungle

    Blood Feud/Warlords (I'd be willing to work on this)
    OGBM
    Speed Freeks (?)
    Demiurg (maybe 2 different League lists?)

    Drifting the Void ("wandering" forces without home world)
    Alaitoc
    Daemon Horde (?)
    Demiurg League (?)

    Warp Rift (near the EoT)
    Red Corsairs
    Daemon World Legion
    Daemonhunters

    Heretics (deep in the Imperium)
    Alpha Legion
    Blood Pact
    Witch Hunters

    Nemesis Series (several works could follow the same pattern of paired traditional enemies)
    Eldar versus Slaanesh Cult/Emperor's Children
    Space Wolves versus Thousand Sons (I'd work on this)
    Imperial Fists and Iron Warriors (sieges)

    ===========
    Campaigns
    ===========

    Mission Critical (Chroma) - General Campaign Rules (could include the EA Experience system)

    Red Queen Rising (Chroma) - A fifteen game campaign pack of Imperial forces trying to stop a horrific Tyranid invasion.

    Eastern Fringe ? Marines, Tau and Tyranids

    ================
    Rules Supplements
    ================

    Adeptus Titanicus III - Expanded WE rules
    AMTL (Imperator rules?)
    Knights
    OGBM (Megagargant rules?)
    Traitor Titan Legions
    Eldar Titan Clan
    House Devine (?)

    ==============================

    Other armies to consider working in (NOT an exhaustive list, just the ones that in my personal bias seem half-way ready at the moment):

    Blood Axe Orks
    Savlar Chem-Dogs
    Scions of Iron
    Black Templars
    Blood Angels
    Dark Angels
    Raven Guard
    Iron Hands
    Saim Hann
    Yme Loc
    Death Guard

    Looks more like a 40K encyclopaedia rather than a supplement  :D

    With due respect to all here, it seems that we really need an editor to collate the various ideas, add the relevant extras (modeling, pictures etc) format and publish it. (and don't look at me, cos I really know nothing about 40K).

    As I believe Moscovian has bowed out from that role, who is prepared to start the ball rolling??

    If we're throwing crazy ideas for suppliments about...

    Necromundepic - Epic in a hive world. Expanded terrain/building rules, environmental effects etc.
    Lists for Hive Gangs Armies, Redemptionist Crusades, Scavvy Hordes etc.

    Mad, but could work?

    And as a nice case of synchronicity with Zombo, I was just on my way here to add..

    WARBAND! (1000-2000 point battles)
    Minigeddon rules
    Rules for creating hodge-podge raiding warbands
    Chaos
    Ork

    Started by CS with Chaos warbands (a la Rogue Trader and the WFB Warbands rules), I ironed out some of the statistical variation that resulted in wildly disparate strength.  We then went on to adapt the rules to apply to Orks as well as Chaos warbands.  We also had a couple of scenarios in addition to the "Minigeddon" GT-style scenario.

    Tau
    Elysians
    Ordo Xenos (optional)
    Orks (optional)
     I like this one the best, although E&C made the comment that it has already been done and maybe he is right.  Writing the fiction for Scarab was difficult, but not nearly as difficult as writing the backgrounds for Dark Eldar and Minervans when there was already an official background.  We have to be VERY careful not to plagiarize GW work.  Perhaps putting Tau in with another list (Orks, Ordos Xenos, and/or maybe Catachan) would be better?  Thoughts?

    With due respect to all here, it seems that we really need an editor to collate the various ideas, add the relevant extras (modeling, pictures etc) format and publish it. (and don't look at me, cos I really know nothing about 40K).

    An editor to collect ALL those ideas would need to be a salaried position. :D  Seriously, this is one of those things that I recommended for the NetERC a few months back (I am the Oracle of Tactical Command).  Nobody has to mandate anything but I think some friendly discussion here is good enough with some guidance and suggestions from the NetERC.  Unfortunately what might be a great supplement combination may be impossible because an army list is in flux or the creative minds can't agree.

    Each supplement does need a single editor though.  I would like to lead another supplement, just not anytime soon.  I'll offer assistance anywhere I can though.  Whoever needs help need only ask, whether it be general suggestions, contacts, or specific tasks (layouts, artwork, writing, etc.).

    Well, the supplements with my name attached are already in varying states of progress... so I'm, at least, volunteering for them!  *laugh*

    (Bill, I'll be responding to your email soon, been dying of heat around here.)

    Any chance of a gander Neal?

    Oh and a great idea for a very very very easy supplement (from the Tau thread)!

    Battle Reports!

    Done once before in 2nd ed of course.

    The best ones highlight big mistakes or cunning ploys, so why not a collected edition of the best ones?

    Chroma, why on Earth would you start more than one? ?Besides insanity, I can't think of a good reason to do that. :p

    Black Crusade is going to be a monster - I can already feel it. ?160 pages? ?180? ?This is just my recommendation so take it for what it is worth: trying to crank out two of these things at the same time is just going to slow both of them down. ?There is nothing to gain by one person (or even one team) making two of them coterminously unless they are related (two campaigns, sequels, etc.).

    edited for bad spelling (no, not tori)

    Well, I *am* insane!  *laugh*

    And it's more of an "in series" thing than "in parallel" development, so I'm not working on all these things at once.  *laugh*

    Hey Mosc, On the practical side a second, did the printers give any guidelines regarding format, number of pages and price breaks etc? As we now have a printer "lined up" as it were, it would be sensible to understand any particular details up-front.

    As to the scenarios, and given there ar potentially so many, perhaps another option would be to go down the "Osprey" route aiming at more, smaller ones that cover one or two topics in 50-60 pages. This way we can get a steady stream going, they can follow a given theme / campaign, and frequent production also means that we minimise delays if one or other section is not ready.

    If we want to go down this route, perhaps we should also establish what are the minimum number of pages needed for a supplement to be viable; and how many sections should be covered?
