Yes, you have to have the Cruiser miniature to be able to deploy Warlords by Drop Pods, as per the book of Apocalypse, ch3, v17.

Just had a quick look at FW's website, they've had a clean up, BFG tab is gone and all that's left in the Epic tab is the Aeronautica rulebooks.

I actually went there the other day to get hints for assembling one of my models, had to look at the 40k one.

for an epic FW mini? lemme know which one and i'll post the pics, if you still need them.

Holy crap!

I gave up on my last Ork order about a month ago, as all but one of the units in the order went "unavailable" before it ever shipped. A call to customer service said they *would* work with the UK to cast more models so long as they had unfilled orders, but that if I cancelled my order for any items no longer available then they would never be able to add them to a future order.

I didn't believe him, but agreed to keep waiting anyway.

And today, agaisnt all expectations, the order status changed to "shipped".

My apologies to the poor mail order troll for ever doubting him.

TBH I think there are laws against offering stuff for sale which is not in stock, especially when it was not advertised that it was going out of stock, they are probably legally obliged to attempt to fulfill orders if the customer does not want a refund, and this is probably why they've done some casting here and there....

OK so that now enough time has passed that we're well on our way making it through the 5 stages of Grief I thought I'd pop up and ask any and all to share thoughts or experiences related to those final panic days of GW's Epic support. Sad, amusing, irony and just "huh" items are all welcome.

I for one would like to share the rather odd feeling to know that I purchased the very last, epic ork battle fortress, ever (it was for a friend in the UK). An army I don't even play or collect. My first and only ork purchase Knowing that was it really brought it home to me.

Anyone else have another story like that to share?

I thankfully escaped any panic buying from gw, I already owned the one mini from them I really wanted for my army. How ever, since the announcement, I have dropped more hard cash on 6mm and related items from other manufacturers then I ever did in any of my time with any GW product. I was always aware of other minis but I always put off buying stuff because I knew I had no use for it in an 'official GW army'.

My renewed lust for wargaming included sorting some parts of the DIY in the house Ive been meaning to do for two years to accommodate all my new gamey shineys! So thanks GW. I now have a much better and enjoyable hobby then your 'The Hobby™'.
