Had a look on Vassal but couldn't find anything about Epic. I did find WH40K, Space Hulk & Battlefield Gothic but it said they couldn't host them because GW had blocked them for doing so for copyright reasons.

Can anyone help?

I think I'm beginning to get my head around this but the penny is very slowly dropping. Does anyone have a game coming up soon? If anyone does and they don't mind, I'd like to drop in as an observer? I've got Xbox Live & Skype as well so would be available to chat as well.

The one thing that I can't see is any function to put terrain on the board. Am I missing something?

In the armies drop down box (top left), scroll right to the bottom and there is a section marked Terrain.

Just drag and drop onto the board.

Ok, next stupid question - I take it the system doesn't or know "CAF" or "to hit rolls", etc? In other words, it doesn't calculate results and it is a case of removing destroyed units by hand?

Yes, but every roll made shows up in the room chatlog - so often people will save 'rolling four five up saves' and then get the game to roll four dice.

Just to keep things clear it helps to let your opponent known what you are doing all the time!

Yes, it is ultimately a rather frustrating way to play. I know nowt about vassel so if the files haven't changed they are me fiddling with the old 40k module, mostly pic changes.

Yeah, I have to say that after some tinkering around with Vassal that I'm just not feeling it. Frustrating because I was looking to try and play epic online.
