Well, the Nomad Marines are a White Scar Successor Chapter, and the player here usually uses that list...

I have a few companies of White Scars and love their style but I had to go with the Dark Angels as they are the Chapter I play and have painted the most... next to Space Wolfs and lately Blood Angels.

However besides the Chapters mentioned above I do have 3-4 companies each of Ultra Marines, Salamanders, Crimson Fist and Imperial Fists. They are all themed around different styles of play or for different opponents. I just wanted to be able to vary my choice. No doubt there are others here who do the same.

My main chapter I'm starting work on again are the Mantis Warriors with various elements of supporting chapters during the Badab war.

Astral Claws will be fun to paint at that scale....ughhh

When I get down to starting painting my space marines I'm thinking of doing an own chapter. "Welkin Warriors", "Crescent Crusaders" or some such... It's all down to colours really.

I thought of Blood Ravens first because, well you know, not having played space marines in 40k BR really are my closest connection and I like the colour scheme. Then I was recommended Raven Guard by a friend but black seems a tad difficult to pull of.

So list me as homemade chapter.

My homebrew chapter the Sky Lords, a blood angel successor chapter that has the unfortunate problem that they no longer suffer from the red thirst and are deeply ashamed of it.

They also have a problem that they can’t count too well and number over a thousand marines by a few hundred.
