The great hawk stats have not been created yet, Jervis said he is waiting for concept sketches before doing them, he just got ahead of himself and listed the unit in the army list.

I agree the transport should be able to carry rangers. And jetbikes should have armour (and vypers armour went down :( )

The warp spiders speed is not an error, it has always been 15cm, they have infiltration though (so they can charge 30cm)

Vampire pulsar stats are indeed wrong

The Warlock is listed as having a psychic lance in the list i'm looking at ?O_o.

As for the other changes, hmm where to begin, lots of stuff:

Aspect warriors have been tweaked to try and make them all worth the same points cost

Dark reapers went from 3x shots with AP5+\AT6+ to one shot with AP4+\AT6+. Their FF value was reduced from 4+ to 5+.

Dire Avengers FF value was reduced from 3+ to 4+, but they now small arms +1 extra attacks

Shining spears armour was increased from 5+ to 4+

Fire dragons FF was increase from 5+ to 4+

Banshees and Scorpions unchanged

Swooping hawks speed incrase from 30cm to 35cm

Warp spiders armour lowered from 3+ to 5+

Exarchs gained the inspiring ability, and now have one of 2 types of attacks. Either +1 extra attack macro weapon, or +1 extra attack small arms. (close combat exarchs get the CC attack, shoot exarchs get the small arms attack).

Guardian Warhosts changed from 12 models to 9, and the farseer is a character upgrade now (although Jervis said in the forum this was a mistake, and will be changing farseer back to seperate character). Formation costs 125 points (half its previous cost) but guardians no longer have a heavy weapon in their squad. (since Jervis remembered they can't fit in transports in WH40K). These are now an upgrade (Replace 3 guardians with heavy platforms at 50 points).

War walkers and support weapons are now additional unit upgrades rather than replace ments (so you can have a formation of upto 15 units including 3 walkers + 3 support platforms). Walkers are 100 points each and support platforms are 75. Support platforms changed from vibro cannons to D-cannons with the stats: 30cm MW5+. War walkers had missle launcher changed for bright lance.

Storm guardian troupe formation added. 6 guardians at 100 points, can replace 3 models with heavy weapons platforms for 100 points. These formations are mainly to fit in vampires and stormserpants (new super heavy tank).

All Eldar tanks except night spinners went up to 4+ armour.

Wave serpent had twin scatter lasers changed for twin shuriken cannons

Sprit warrior formations are now 3 wraithguard and 3 wraithlord or wave serpants for 225 points

Wraith guards wraithcannons now have 2x shots (same statline)

Night spinners went up from 150 points to 200 points.

Storm Serpant: New super heavy tank, same base statline as a scorpion. Carries 6 units and armed with: Twin pulse lasers + twin shuriken cannons

Phoenix and Nightwing armour increase to 4+, jink rule dropped (vampire armour is 5+).

Phoenixs missle launchers dropped, now has night spinners (15cm 1BP Disrupt). AA value dropped from pulse lasers stats. Phoenixs are now 3 for 350 points.

Nightwings and now 3 for 300 points.

Holofields are now a fixed 3+ invulnerable save (instead of normal save, though reinforced armour lets you make a re-roll using your normal armour vaule. eg phantom would get 3+ save then 5+ re-roll. Revenants no longer have reinforced armour)

Phantom\Warlock power fist now has built in gun (statline is the same as 3x twin scatter lasers)

Phantom can now replace power fist with 2nd pulsar.

Phantoms and warlocks have dropped to 650\850 points respectively.

Its in the part where it says 'maybe armed with two ------ or a powerfist and -----'

The wording for Exarchs says 'an Exarch added to HB, ...snip...have the Exarch CCW.  Exarchs added to DA...snip... ALSO have an exarch ranged weapon.

What about in Inv save for the Phoenix?  Why only that craft?

Are FirePrisms really twice as good as a Falcon?

Ok, I just downloaded this, and not being an Eldar player, really can't comment on it as I would't have a clue, but it kinda looks good.

All we need now is the updated lists for the other swordwind armies!

Cheers

Chris

As I said previously, before you start gluing and painting, be careful.  My experience after 4 Epic "rebirths" is there is always a lot of changes ...  :(

Hi!

I just base things according to my tastes and leave them that way. Its just too much of a hassle to rebase to accomodate rules.

Hi all - my Landa therapist recommended a spot of Eldar army planning, and to my satisfaction discovered I can field an army of sorts. In fact I have:
An Avatar, and models for his court
An aspect warrior warhost - only just!
One, maybe two gurdian warhosts, with a couple of heavy weapon upgrades and a Farseer
One Windrider troupe
One Warlock and 2 Phantom Titans! (which cost too much for me to take, as they can only equal 1/3 of the total points.

No vehicles......
Back to da drawin bord.
BUT - does anyone have an inkling what to do with the old Space Marine era plastic Falcons? I converted one to a wreck as an objective, but is there anything more useful you can do with these?
Thanks.
:O

You can just use them as Falcons- they may look to have an different weapon fit to the new rules, and just be not particually great models, but if you don't have anything better just use them...
I'm planning on buying a few packs of the FW Falcons for my Eldar, as while I have a load of the old ones... well.. they just don't seem very "Eldar-ish" to me!  :-:

Hi Stormseer, that's the problem, they just don't fit in the Eldar look - maybe I'll wait for the Epic Hrudd release.... :{

Faith is a good thing, but by 2007 you'll all be scrambling to reorganize your armies for E:B or C !

My Epic Eldar army is even wittier - following an evening of archaeological excavation in my model storage zone, I discovered I don't have two Phantoms and a Warlock (Titan), but two Warlocks (0-1 per army) .... bugger! Oh, and a forgotten pair of Warp hunters - splendid rooks!
I also unearthed six Eldar Knights - no more chessing about, now, these will take the role of Wrtaithlords. A bit big, but rather splendid.

The excavations also unearthed a few more forgotten treasures, including a few IG tanks and chimeras (and a single rough rider!), a couple of the old Ork battlewagon variants, the plastic base, legs+body, and carapace of the old plastic Warlord (no head, no weapons, but these should not pose much of a problem) and (groan) - remember the old Space Marine era 'Ork Horde' box? I'd forgotten I had one of these, with 30 plastic Battlewagons and 200  :oo  orks, still on their sprues!

Well I'd consider that a successful expedition, Indy !  I'm fortunate that I have all my 9 (including Traitor, Squat and F/W Tau & Kroot) Epic Armies in my War Room.  Displayed in plastic cases/boxes or arrayed on my large "work table (6'x 4')"  which doubles as our gaming board.  I use the Epic boxes to store my Infantry too.  I just need to budget my time better so I can work on all my unfinished stuff.  I'm still working on my E40K Orks.  All my 'Nids are still in the box ! :oo  All E40K Titans are still in the box too !  :(  As well as all my F/W IG and Tau trimmed but in the Box ! :o

And all the models I mentioned are unfinished! I too have a (less lavish) display cabinet, but this contains WH or 40K stuff mostly, with a few BFG/Epic/Warmaster/Man'O'War models dotted around - oh, a nd a single LOTR Moria goblin.

Still, it's fun finding stuff you'd forgotten about -digging my very first Gargant out of its ancient sarcophagus, where it has lain for nigh eight years (and four different jobs ago!)  brought tears to my eyes (partly bec. of cpious flying dust).
His expression reminds my of one of my uncles..

Have updated my Eldar army list - I somehow managed to put together a 2000+ points army - although the absolute lack of vehicles is pathetic:
1 Avatar + court
1 Aspect Warrior warhost
4 Guardian warhosts (the Space Marine box Eldar have found their army), with 1 Warlock each
1 Ranger troupe (cuning use of bases with hidden rangers on them!)
2 Windrider troupes
1 spirit warrior troupe, with 3 Wraithlords (3 of my old Eldar Knights)
1 Phantom Titan (the Warlock is too expensive to constitute 1/3 of the points.

Oh well ,a general's got to make do with what he's got, but I think a few falcons - at least - would not be amiss. Dare i use the plastic ones?!?
:o
cheers
PS - re reference to Indy - if I'd tried to use a whip I'd slash my face open; so instead ..
:blues: WARNING - TERRIBLE ORCKPUNNING AHEAD :blues:
.. I converted a rather oriental looking Orc for WH, with a whip in one hand. He was found lost and alone by an orc warband, which he promptly submitted and took for his own. He's come west from the plains of Cathay, but does not remember his name, or his home. His orcs and goblins wear black warpaint and armour and tiger stripes, and plunder the towns at the borders of the Empire. These are the brave Raidas of da Lost Orc!  :{
