Hmmm, I guess we have to wait for the "space marine character pack" listed for a November '04 release
Edit: I just read the painting section, it says "The plastic sets of Epic infantry produced by Games Workshop do not include models for all of the character upgrades". I interperate that to mean it includes some of them. It also goes on to explain how to paint a commisar differently and add some banners to use it as a commander model.
That fits my previous theory, that they will include: commisars for IG, Librarians + chaplains for SM. (since these are kind of hard to convert). Where as for IG Commanders, SM captains\supreme commanders and Ork WarLords, all you have to do is add some banners to IG infantry\tactical marines\nobz. (the photos in the PDFs show examples of this).

Hi!
Is still a "UK" release schedule? What does this mean for the US if the game is released in the summer? Are the releases delayed by the same amount of time?
Inquiring minds what to know.

The top of the page says add 4 months for US release.
However, I would be willing to send items to people in the US when they come out in the UK, as long as they pay all the postage. You get the items 4 months earlier than you would if you waited.
Cheers
Chris

maybe a little OT, but whatever...
Looking at the release schedule I see "Space Marine Battle Company", and that is all good...
However the 32 stands doesn't add up, at least not with my my knowledge of Space Marines.
I'd say a battle company is:
12 x Tact. 4 x Assault 4 x Dev. 1-2 x Captain/character...
Rhinos included in that?
Any thoughts?
PS. I realize that this outline isn't possible with the lists, as the captain would just upgrade a normal stand.

To me 32 stands sounds like 4 Tac units + 1 Ass unit + 1 Dev Unit. I dont see how else it would be done.

It could also be 2 Tac detachments and 5 assault/dev detachments (= 32 stands).
But I'm betting on 4/1/1 over 2/3/2.
I'm also curious about 32 IG stands. There are no sniper or ogryn blisters, so they should be in there. 2 companies + ratlings/ogryn would be 30 stands (2 command, 24 infantry, 4ratlings/ogryn). A couple spares for commisars, maybe?
Also, any of you guys have any idea what will be in the objectives blister?

Any thoughts? | I don't think rhinos will be included, i'm sure that would be mentioned if they were. And the rhinos are listed as blister packs of 6.

Not sure, perhaps they have 2x pairs of Ogryns or Ratlings? I assume there are some commissars, since the painting guide shows them, and mentions how to paint commisars to represent commanders.
Don't know whats in the objective blisters, but it could be a re-release of the Epic 40K objectives (small bunkers, fuel dumps, warp gates etc that had a base around 35mm x 35mm). Initally they included a couple in each Epic40K battle force, and then later released them as blister pack available through mail order. If its not the Epic40K ones, i'd imagine it will be something very similar.
Edit: And 3x per blister is really stingy since you need 6 objectives for a GT game . It would have been nice if they would released a "starter pack" with a bunch of normal D6 dice, order dice, blast makers, 6 objectives and the plastic blast\flame templates all together for $15-20 US, I guess that will never happen, oh well

The objectives look interesting, but I bet they are the E40K models, which were very nice. And did I read something wrong, but are they using plastic "gem stones" for blast markers ?

Yep.. seems a little bizarre, but I'd guess its because Fanatic aren't able to produce a whole new card sheet ala E40k.. oh well, I'll just use the my E40k ones.. should look better I'd guess...
