I have two of these travesties, and I hate them too (although I like the third edition of the thunderhawks and dont like the other one). I suppose that they could make good Squat Land Train cariages...

Hi!
I have to agree that no T-hawk model ever made has been good. I also think they are WAY underscaled for something that should carry something like 30+ marines.

I am going to start a home for unwanted Thunderhawks.
I will feed and care for these poor rejected units.
Anyone who needs to get rid of them send them to me and I will retire them in peace.

I have 3 in my DA force which I keep for prosperity...I also cant really justify replacing them when I have other more pressing needs!
I use them in a secondary role as transports in BFG, where they quite fit the part. If anyone wants to cast their off rather than donate them to dafrca's unwanted thawk retirement home let me know!

The Squat VTOL was called the Iron Eagle. ?I have one flight of 3 plus one that is with the Colossus. ?I have 1 det. of 2 of each T/Hawk type. ?Save for the last one which is the largest, and I have only one. ?Plus 2 of my own creation. ?There are a lot of chopper types out there so I see these all as different versions of the same general class of vehicle with the same general capabilities/ mission ...

Given their brick-like style, perhaps orkifying them for an Ork Assault Boat would work.
I will also gladly accept retiring Thunderhawks, as there is no such thing as too many bitz...

I think Chris came up with the best name for the old Thunderhawks a while ago; "The Flying Coffin" hehe

I always felt that "Flying Brick" was appropriate as you could get for that flying monstrosity.

I aim to have a playtest Tau list this side of Christmas '03. You'll need to use FW resin models, scratch-builds or stand-ins to test it though...

I just read this over at the E-A forums. Tau players rejoice!

Hi!
I hope that it will also step up Tau model production. Forgeworld stuff is nice, but I would rather get some "cheaper" metal alternatives.
Primarch.
