I can bring my marines along. I've been desperate to try them out again after many games with Tau. John has a guard army doesn't he or is this a different John?

Well I was thinking of keeping the army types homogeneous.

So Orks V Guard or Orks V Marines but not Orks V Guard + Marines... If we can help it.

Don't fancy throwing another 2k of Orkamedies and AMTL on top of the 6k tho?

As they're Titans they shouldn't slow things down unduly.

That's a good idea - A mixed imperium force: guard/marines/amtl vs orks (ghazgkhull and orkamedes) played for laughs would be fun.

But maybe not this time? I'd like to see how we get on with something a little simpler this time round and see how it goes.

If you can get together two armies of the same type that would be great, otherwise a SM/Guard mix will suffice.

What sort of table size do you think would be good?

I suppose options are something like 6x4 (crowded), 8x6, or 12x4.
