And all the models I mentioned are unfinished! I too have a (less lavish) display cabinet, but this contains WH or 40K stuff mostly, with a few BFG/Epic/Warmaster/Man'O'War models dotted around - oh, a nd a single LOTR Moria goblin.
Still, it's fun finding stuff you'd forgotten about -digging my very first Gargant out of its ancient sarcophagus, where it has lain for nigh eight years (and four different jobs ago!) brought tears to my eyes (partly bec. of cpious flying dust). His expression reminds my of one of my uncles..
Have updated my Eldar army list - I somehow managed to put together a 2000+ points army - although the absolute lack of vehicles is pathetic: 1 Avatar + court 1 Aspect Warrior warhost 4 Guardian warhosts (the Space Marine box Eldar have found their army), with 1 Warlock each 1 Ranger troupe (cuning use of bases with hidden rangers on them!) 2 Windrider troupes 1 spirit warrior troupe, with 3 Wraithlords (3 of my old Eldar Knights) 1 Phantom Titan (the Warlock is too expensive to constitute 1/3 of the points.
Oh well ,a general's got to make do with what he's got, but I think a few falcons - at least - would not be amiss. Dare i use the plastic ones?!? cheers PS - re reference to Indy - if I'd tried to use a whip I'd slash my face open; so instead .. WARNING - TERRIBLE ORCKPUNNING AHEAD .. I converted a rather oriental looking Orc for WH, with a whip in one hand. He was found lost and alone by an orc warband, which he promptly submitted and took for his own. He's come west from the plains of Cathay, but does not remember his name, or his home. His orcs and goblins wear black warpaint and armour and tiger stripes, and plunder the towns at the borders of the Empire. These are the brave Raidas of da Lost Orc!

"Fascinating !" I'd take the revolver over the whip ... but I do have an Indy-ish Fedora ! Oh, and I forgot I have all the new F/W Eldar still in boxes/bags too !

Hi!
I'm fortunate that I have all my 9 (including Traitor, Squat and F/W Tau & Kroot) Epic Armies in my War Room.
|
My final quest, once I finally invest in owning a home, its to also have a "war room" and give my armies a permanent home.
May be that day isn't too far off.....

Hi!
Is your storage space adequate? I find thats a more pressing concern than table space.

Yes, I have some on shelves and even some terrain (mostly GEO-Hex) in boxes under the tables. But "Available Space" is on it's way to critical mass !

I am moving this thread as it is moving rapidly off topic. As a note, there are a number of threads where this is happening. Please try to keep threads on topic, and avoid posts which dont contribute to the overall subject being discussed. Thanks.

Hey there. In armageddon is it allowed to have a SM force with some IG tanks in it too? I've checked about and from what I've seen they seem to be two completely separate armies. I'm just wondering because my brother has collected a lot of SM infantry and a lot of IG tanks and has been used to playing a force of SM's supported by IG armour.
If they don't fight together, does anyone know of a background that describes why? I would have thought that all humans would be able to fight together, but wut do I know I is just a big fik Ork.

Woops, I thought I'd checked up well but I missed this:
"Q: One query on the lists. Can I use combined Guard and Marine forces? If so, what strategy rating do they use?
A: I?ve decided to make the Guard and the Marines separate armies. Rules for ?allied? armies were allowed during playtesting, but were found to be open to abuse so we banned them in tournament play. If you devise your own scenarios you can, of course, use allied armies. If you do then each formation uses its own army initiative value."

Like the quote says, Tournament play says no Allies...
However, if you and your brother were having a fun game together, there is nothing stopping him having a combined SM and IG force. But if he would ever want to play in a tournament, he would have to either get some SM tanks or some IG infantry.
Hope this is of help!
Cheers
Chris

Thanks for the reply!
Out of interest do you know what it was that was being abused that made them take the rule out. Or more specifically what should me and my brother look out for to avoid making a SM/IG combo too powerful?

I'm not entirely sure what caused the removal of the rule, but I would guess it would be that taking two balanced army lists, and combining them, meant that people could quite easily take the most powerful parts of both and make a "super-powerful" army list.
As for combinations you should look out for, the easist soultion is to just play and fins out for yourself! If say your brother took some SM infantry and a super heavy tank company, and it was too powerful, ban super heavy companies from use and limit them to support formations.
Again I hope this helps!
Cheers
Chris
Lastly, just out of curiosity, where on this little planet are you from?

We have fought SMs & IG as allies all the time, since SM1 in '90. We just follow the rules for fighting with allies and choosing forces. We would never play Tournament Rules either.
