With all of Jervis' experience, he knows a good painted when he sees one, and he wasn't going to let our Tuffskull get away!

Cheers

So are we going to see any photographs?

Unfortunately, not as many as I had hoped. :{

Sorry guys, I made three fatal flaws with regards to the photos on Sunday
1) I only have an 8MB memory card which cant hold much, so I downed quality to get more shots. (Having not used it in the past, I now know that the low quality setting on my camera produces photos that are absolutely terrible.....)
2) I guess I left the macro feature on, because none of the shots from any distance came out at all.
3)Having disposed of all the shots which really didnt come out & only saved the better ones, my notes no longer followed the pictures so I've lost track of who's army is who's.

Overall, I messed up big time & shall certainly avoid the journalism business in future - Sorry! :{

I'll upload the 6 shots that were vaguely salvageable & from now on I'll stick to photographing in the terratory I know better (ie, camera 6 inches from a small chink of metal / resin / plastic....)

Prooving He's got more done than he admits to, Shadow Hunters Orks were on fine form (and I must say his Supa Stompa is rather funky - I very much like that conversion design having seen it "in the flesh")

If memory serves, this is the Imperial Guard army of Chris Taylor (? my appologies if wrong - please email me and I'll correct it!). I somehow didnt get much of a chance to have a good look at this army which is a shame as it was one of few IG forces present at the event.

Similarly, I believe these Marines belong to Scott Baird: (? my appologies if wrong - please email me and I'll correct it!). I personally really liked this army - it just stood out well in its vivid green & it was nice to see something different. The addition of the beetleback variant titan is always a good one too :D.

Here we have an army I have yet to face, but I think I will soon. Its owned by Mark Norfolk, the kind chap who gave me a good thrashing with his Orks in my first game with the Desert Ferrin.
His Old Codex Grey Guardsmen make pretty good praetorian guard, and again I like the force no least because its different and well executed.
I'd like to add before posting the picture that I know Mark will see this & So I'd like to take the oppertunity that If you want a rematch, I've now painted up a Shadowsword Company who really want to meet your gargant ?}:)

Finally, we have two of the armies that made it into the 3 chosen for the Best army vote. I'm afraid the photos of the winning army (the incredibly based force mentioned before) simply didnt come out - the force was too tightly packed to get a photo to do all the details justice. My appologies to the viewers & the army comander as it was definitly worth displaying if I'd been more a photographer....

Unfortunately, I cant remember who's is who's so please email me & I'll sort out the credits ?:oo
Both these Ork armies had some great character and some nifty conversions on show. I was especially impressed with the banners on the second army - I never did find out if they were transfers or freehand but either way they look great!

Too bad about the problems with the pics Tuff :(  I'd really have loved to see that winning army. However I must say that the pics you have posted look great. I'd have loved to be there! Thanks for posting :)

Cheers!

So, is there anything worthwhile in the book which isn't in the PDF files?

Got to a computer again.

There isn't particularly anything new.  But that doesn't mean its not worth it.

The pics are much nicer in colour, and all the units are now next to their relevant datasheets.

To be honest, I think the PDF's have every page covered.

Ahh yes...But my hitmen operate on Australian time and so are 11 hours ahead of you!

Hang on...there's a knock on my door.
