What we need is more Imperial vehicles! The guards are lacking in some basic areas. I shall now stop to duck while you take a swing at the monitor...What IG whant is a jeep/HUMVEE/Landrover type vehicle, not more tanks and artillery. Much as I love them there is no need for 8+ MBT varients IMO.The IG have what they need, hurry up with the new targets oops sorry ! races.
Cheers.

Well, I have to agree the IG do not need anymore AFVs! ?

But if you're looking for light vehicles, check out the GZG or Brigade sites. Some good stuff there!

I was thinking that I may convert/paint some of the Ork buggies as light recce units.

As for Chimeras, the Trojans can be made in to good APC varients with added weapons on the roof; Gives the early ACAV feel to the vehicles.

I'll try and borrow a camera and snap a few photos.

Cheers.

That sounds goods, our M-113s had ACAV turrets in the ROK, which came out in Vietnam. This was a good idea! ?

Photos are always welcomed! ?

And Jimbo, didn't you do some conversions, with Ork Buggies, etc. for the IG? ???

I was trying to remember where I saw them. Now that you say it, I do think it was Jimbo's site.

Hmmm, am I the only one thinking of converting screeds of plastic rhinos into proxy chimeras in some fashion?

Hi Markconz - no! Try Ork plastic battlewagon turrets, if you've got ' screeds' of those as well.
And PB - how about turretless chimeras? Luckily, I checked the link to Jimbo's site before sending this - and now have to say it's not original - but looks great.

A Chimera is an APC/IFV ... so it could come in many forms.  We still let our IG use Rhinos and Gorgons too !

My 4th IG company has Rhinos, when mechanized.  Funding ran out before they could get chimeras.  :O

Two companies now ride in Spartans(upgraded Trojans).
I'm still working through my Lt division rules. Variations on the death world troops and regular Lt inf mechanised formations.
I have no camera so I hope to get some pics' at the 2 week games holiday.
Cheers.

If you've seen my piece for A Tale f Five Gamers, you'll have noticed that I'm unsure on how many of my SM detachments actually need Commanders. At the moment, I'll have 2 Assault detachments, 3 tac detachments and 1 Dev detachment, with both assault detachmetns having Chaplains and one Tac one having a Captain.

Is it worth giving commanders to my other two tac detachmetns and the Dev one, and if so, which should I use? Also, how many commanders of each type do you get in a SM Battle COmpany box?
