Yeah, sorry - love the hill, love the barrage template; the animation in the ui works well and the box select will be invaluable...

Check out the flame too, and the removing units effect, oh, and the blue glow for selecting units with ctrl left click.

I'm in the process of fixing the image sizes, so noone else needs to worry about it.

I was just going to post up saying I'd fix them and get them back to you tomorrow but thanks for sorting it Barny. Sorry for the need too, I wish I'd known as it would have saved some time in creating them too.

I'll keep my future ones smaller and I found a tga file save option to drop the bit depth from 24 to 8 which I think might save further space (the Executioner file I adjusted went down from 6.1Mb to 345Kb).

I've only had a quick play with some of the new things so far, but multiple movement works great from what I can see :)

I wouldn't drop the bit depth, you'll lose a lot of colour depth that way. Better to go for a lower resolution, you never get close enough to see the finest detail anyway.

I'm also going through and majorly decreasing the size of the _pants textures, as they really don't need to be more than 64x64.

Going to JPG from TGA might work well, too.

No, it won't, that would actually slow things down. TGA are what we should use. As per Zombo on the previous page of the thread:

making them jpg will actually slow loading times; though it saves disk space the software has to uncompress them when it loads them into memory, which takes longer.

Titan Legions are done :)

Thanks to Captain Senioris for helping provide photos of the Emperor Class Titans to make the army pack. I've made the images smaller this time.

There's a maximum of 70 units you can have so it would be impossible to do titans with all the weapon combinations as there would be way too many (and there aren't sprites for them in any case). I've therefore numbered the titans and players will have to share a list of Titans and their armamant. It doesn't look as pretty, but is practical.

I would have empty titans and then separate weapon selections that can be put on top of them as separate units, then moved around the board together with multiselection.

Could be doable, I guess. I hadn't thought of that.

It'd require photos of various titan weapons to work from and a lot of fiddling around though, so I'm inclined to leave the existing Titan Legion pack as is for the moment and maybe improve it as you suggest eventually, if others help with providing photos.

Tabletop updated at the usual link.

Includes Titan Legions, resized sprites and some code changes to lead to faster loading times.

I've made some progress of a Sisters of Battle army, but I'm mostly spending my time painting tyranids instead these days.

I was using the latest version with Rastamann last night and in general it was a significantly better experience, it's definitely turned a corner.

One or two little things did lag with the box select though. We were using a relatively slow mobile connection with bad Portuguese weather conditions apparently. When the box is being drawn on the screen and when the lines are drawn between the selected units and their original location it can lag. Obviously, this was on the client side.

It might be nothing or it might be a place the code could be refactored - just letting you know.

Overall though really well done.
