Dysartes, regarding ?the Carapace landing pad , the description is all about the recon landspeeder, which I used to love back in epics 2nd edition/titan legions, anyway, even though it is only in the description, I think a note somewhere in the weapons notes might be helpfull in clearly stating you dont get a landspeeder, Thats just my wishfull thinking kicking in I think. Anyway thats my suggestion, I read thru this version and it looks pretty clean and correct to me. I'm still working on getting in more games in with the list. I did manage to try out the all warhound and sentinel scout list that some were worried about, I think we are perfectly safe myself, after all you sacrificing almost all the big guns from the titan weapons list options just thinking about this list, and my playtest games showed no overpowering occurances.

If you word it that you do not get one, people will argue then how do you get the Benefit of the item. Rather just make it clear that a Recon Landspeeder is unarmed or some such. That way it is less relevant if they think about it. The effect on the game is only the benefit of the item bought.
Like This: The Carapace Landing Pad is used in conjunction with an unarmed Recon Land Speeder. This Unarmed Land Speeder maintains a direct comm.-link with its parent Titan and scouts for targets, directing the Titan?s barrages from a safe distance. |
The Bold is just to make it obvious the change I made.
Just my Opinion.

Hi!
You used to take the old description on the landing pad literally and required use of a landspeeder that function as a command unit - fully armed.
We felt it better represented what it cost.

I concur, it was part of the package and for that price it was also "fitted" with a special targeting datalink, Titan trained observers etc to get the right value out of him.

Bottom of the "To Do" list, there is some "To acquire" items.

Primarch | But the way EpicA works, if the Land Speeder is a full Land Speeder Unit then it could be destroyed and thus now opens up the ability to target that specific unit.
If it is not a "real" Land Speeder" then it is just a miniature representing the ability and thus can not be destroyed in and of itself.

But that IS a realistic tactic dafrca! ? We do it all the time, its called "Hacking the Shadower"
The idea is to take out the reporting unit so the heavy firepower carrying unit cant find you, or has to close within your weapon range to fire at you, giving you counterfire options
It means your Forward Observer has to be sneaky - ie do the REAL recon thing!
