I found a cool new proxy for Ork SupaStompas:
http://www.dp9.com/Products/d20mechaminis.htm
DP-9's "Brute-class Goblin Coalsuit?"
What do you guys think?
-------------------------------
I'm cross-posting this message to three topics:
1. THE Gargant Discussion -> Epic Armageddon 2. Proxies for Epic miniatures. -> Epic Armageddon 3. Super stompa -> Epic Armageddon
I'd prefer that replies went to the:
THE Gargant Discussion -> Epic Armageddon ...
... topic, but it's really immaterial in the end.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!
Interesting model Maksim, it would make an interesting ork model. I wasn't aware they were making a "warmachine" style game as well as gear krieg modern.
Good stuff!

I finally figured out what the new Supa Stompa reminds me of...
An old plastic Stompa model with a Rhino strapped to the front of it!
By the way, this is one of my favorite "easy" conversions!

Hi!
Its too bad that industrial gothic game never got off the ground due to the death of its creator. There were quite a few models I could envision being used as either orks or chaos.

I would have been interested in the game itself. It seemed quite promising. I wonder who got the rights to the rules.

Hi!
No idea. I think it will probably never see the light of day, but who knows, we might get lucky.

Well, technically, the Scars are more a heavy cav unit, at least in 40k, and I'd think to a large extent in Epic. They charge things and kill them. Light cav would be more like Dark Angel Ravenwing or Eldar Saim-Hann, IMHO. Anyhoo, I'll babble about short histories of the chapters if someone else doesn't soon, but I'm short on time at the moment.

The histories are scattered throughout the Codexs and W/D articles. Getting a hold of the Codexs would be the short answer.

GW's Index Astartes books are also worth picking up if you can't get copies of the WDs the articles originally appeared in...

There's an ongoing collective net project called the "40K fluff bible." The idea being to collect all the major pieces of fluff into one giant source. I'm sure if you do a Google search on it, you'll turn up several copies.
I can't vouch for how much info from the individual marine chapters is in it, but it did have a bit of scarce titan legion info when I was compiling that list.
Also, I'm sure there are lots of fan sites out there that will include the official background for whatever chapter the site is dedicated to.
