-Then you won't have every Epic scale model ever though Primarch.... ?:;):

For Athmos, the latest newsletter:

*********************************************

Ha-ha! I have once again regained my rightful place as Master of Newsletters and have cast the foul upstart Winson out into the gutter! (In my mind!) To be honest, Dean and the other guys are mega-busy right now putting Xmas orders onto our shiny new computer system and I jumped at the chance of writing another newsletter.

I've got three main subjects to run through today; Christmas ordering, a great new Tyranid model for 40K and a list of lots of projects our designers and sculptors are working on at the moment.

I'll get Christmas ordering out of the way first and I promise to keep it short and sweet. We can still take mail orders for delivery before Christmas if received by Monday December 15th. Orders for delivery outside of the UK will have to use our EXPRESS DELIVERY service to get it there in time but we can still get your order to you, stocks allowing. You can place your order online as usual but if you have any concerns please give the guys on the Forge World phone lines a call on 0115 9416 8177 so they can help you.

Take a look at this little beastie folks, and remember there are two pages of pictures there, don't miss out! http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/wingedht.htm Simon Egan, the man responsible for all our other Tyranid monstrosities, has been quietly working away for the past month or so making us this cracking Winged Hive Tyrant. The model has a wingspan of over 12 inches or 300mm if you prefer.
It has been armed with a Venom Cannon, implant attack tongue thingy and of course razor sharp claws on its feet for shredding opponents in a melee. The Winged Hive Tyrant is available to pre-order now and will be sent out week commencing January 26th.
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalo....11.html

The boss has said that I should be able to show you some pictures of some of the following projects in our next newsletter, which I should get out to you later next week, so don't stray too far from your inboxes!
Space Marine forces can look forward to a whole host of static weapon systems, Tarantulas of course. We are just putting the finishing touches to three different variants, armed with either Lascannons, Heavy Bolters or a Multi-melta. There are also three new Razorback turret conversions using the weapon systems from these Tarantulas too. We are also doing some more Chapter Icon packs too.
Daren Parrwood, the man who gave us the Imperial Valkyrie, is working on an amazing looking Chaos Fighter-Bomber and Daniel Cockersell has made us two more of those fantastically popular Kroot Knarlocs, one of which has a big bolt-thrower thingy on it's back.
The ships and space stations we have made so far for BFG Tau have been amazingly popular, so of course we are working on more ships right now.
Since completing the Winged Hive Tyrant, Simon Egan has been working on a set of standing Imperial Titan crew, (without their Titan) which are just too detailed to be believed. Simon has also been working with Will Hayes and the two of them have just completed a Psycannon arm and a close combat arm for Grey Knights Dreadnoughts.
Epic 40,000 gets even more of our beautifully detailed models "de-bigulated" when we release a Skyray and Orca for the Tau, a Thunderbolt for the Imperial Navy and a promise of special troop types and characters too.
There have been a few rumours on the 'net about us making a big Bloodthirster.
Well they are all untrue. We are making a MASSIVE Bloodthirster, which at the moment has an axe which is roughly twice the height of a Space Marine Dreadnought. I think that counts as MASSIVE, don't you?
Warwick Kinrade occasionally surfaces from his little room with fists full of pages for Imperial Armour Volume 2 which details Imperial Space Marine, Sisters of Battle and Inquisition vehicles in the 41st millennium. In fact he has surfaced so many times this autumn to give us a book of well over 200 pages, and he hasn't finished it yet!

Speak to you soon folks.
Thx,

Ewen Little,
Forge World.

****************************************

..The winged Hive Tyrant is pretty cool don't you think?  :)

Just realised.

In case anyone was wondering - the MASSIVE Bloodthirster is not for epic, its a warhammer / 40K scale piece.

Mind you, it would make for a REALLY Massive epic bloodthirster I guess (images of blodthirster juggling Imperator titans for fun...).

Hi!

You could use that bloodthirster model as a "warped" chaos titan though.

Hey, just a thought, considering that in epic:a you summon demons using your sacrifice points, possibly you could summon a Really big demon (titan sized) if you used a lot more sacrifices?

my 2questions,

Hi!

Anythings possible, but there need to be a heck of a lot of sacrifices to summon a chaos titan....

Thak Stormseer for the newsletter !
Not matter how many subscription i take, the letter never reach me; it's a great thing that some people (sorry, don't remember who at the momment) often put it on the forum.

On the bloodthirster subject, a bloodthirster as high as two imperators on top seems right out of place to me. The Bloodthirster from Warmaster would make a PERFECT and quite big bloodthirster... I think about using warmaster daemon for Epic since some time, specialy greater daemon, who wouldn't suffer from an increase in size...

I look forward to seing the new characters (any idea how long it'll take, Mr Skull ? -and also, can i call you Mr Skull ? quite like the sound of it :) ), and the FW Thunderbolt fighter.
I just hope it's not as big as the lightning; i hate fighters to dwarf my titans.

LOL, Mr Skull is fine. I've gotten used to many variations over the years (including "tuffy" which I objected to at first, and the weirdest variation - some people call me "Paul"  :l :p )

I'm afriad the Thunderbolt will probably be more lightning size than the size of the old Tbolt. FW stuff is scaled down directly from the 40K versions so & is made to a realistic scale, not to a scale thats "sensible" for gaming.

As for the characters, I have no idea. It only takes him (Will Hayes) a day to do something like a BFG Tau ship (!!) but its simply a case of him finding a spare day amongst 40K & other projects. As I mentioned, he's just finished a different 6mm piece which he's working on a few variations of when the first masters are cast, then I guess its onto Armageddon characters, but that is just a guess - I'll see if I can get anything more definite.

We use the old Chaos Familiars for our Greater Demons. ?They are big but not as big as the SM2 versions which looked like they were 40K figs ! ?(Too big !) ?The Familiars are about the size of W/M Demons. ?There are pics of them on the EpiCollector site. ?:D ? W/M has some stuff that would work for Epic ... I use a few of them.

Hi!

I was thinking the same for some warmaster figs, their size is closer to 6mm and make very good proxies.
