Hi!
Well, I'm all for justifying it with fluff, it makes for a believable background.

That makes a logical reason for the missing missiles. ?But on the other hand nothing says that some units may not be still be using them. After the Cobra gunship came out in Vietnam, some units were still using the Huey gunship ... and kicking "A" ... sorry Charlie ! ? ? ?But always do what works for you ... with a lot of detail or detail-light. ?It's your call ...

My Superheavy Rgeiment has a Squadron each of Baneblades, Shadowswords, StormHammers and StormBlades (all old Mk2 types).

Wow...I get to sound tough with my arsenal then!
At least until L4 and Primarch post new replies that is! Their superheavies would crowd out even an Imperial Fleet Mass Conveyance no doubt

Primarch | Painted? no. Unpainted? Yes, I reckon we could.
Since superheavies are being discussed, I coul muster about 40 of them if pushed, but a lot of those are currently in mid-conversion, as are a lot of my models -I always start things and then leave them for months if not years before I get round to getting them all completed!

Hmmm ... my Super Heavies ... 3 Baneblade Mk.1s, 2 Shadowswords Mk.1s, 1 Stormblade, 1 Stormhammer, 3 Baneblade Mk.2s, 2 Shadowswords Mk.2s. F/W (all still in the bags) - 2 Baneblades, one of each type, 1 Stormblade, 1 Shadowsword, 1 Stormsword. So a lot of firepower there. I have them organized so usually 1-2 dets. could be fielded, per Regt. My Regt. HQ is one of the B/Bs Mk.1s., and I run mixed dets. So for example all the F/W Hvy Assault Guns (Shadowsword etc.) are all in one det.

Hi!
Painted or unpainted is good, as long as the models are there.
I'd have to count, but with my latest IG deal and FW order I may be pushing about 100 superheavies.....

Quote (Legion 4 @ 04 2003 Oct.,15:51) | You can do what you want on your gaming board as long as you and your gaming crew all agree. ?We made a simple decision for all vehicles, all Baneblades and Stormhammers are the same. Shadowswords, Stormblades, Stormswords are all the same. Leman Russes are all the same. Demolishers, Conquerors, Executioners are the same. ?All Chimeras and Gorgans 2s & 3s are all the same. ?We have played every version of vehicle being different, and it was fun, however is started to bog down. ?We've been collecting since SM1 in '90 and with each Epic release and now F/W, it just becomes too much of a moras with too many vehicle types for each army on the board. ?We do the same for all armys. ?An Ork Battlewagon is an Ork Battlewagon. ?A Predator is a Predator. ?Etc., etc., etc. ... ?But bottom line ... do what works for you ... not what works for me ... | and to think that this was the very reason that Epic40K allegedly was not liked by the SM2/TL players as everything was the same and individual units had no character.
