If everyone has access to google, why not just start an Epic group there or on Facebook or some established social networking site.  Then again that would be another website to monitor.  And I'm sure not everyone uses those sites.

Really? I just type in a location into the search and hit 'go'. It seems to work for me, although I then go through the results and check the actual games that are played and the location in more detail if required.

In the US i've had luck going to gaming store websites to find their events/clubs, etc. I realize that's not exactly a catch-all solution, and it may just be my area, but it's certainly better than nothing.
