Hi!
Yeah, I really like the chimera variants. They are great support for those tactical guard companies.

Yes, all my SM2, E40K and F/W Chimeras are mixed with each of the release's various versions.
I have them assigned to detachments by release and don't mix SM-2 with E-40K, etc., in the detachments.
But they deploy side by side on the board .. just like "Old Guard," Vals & Cats.

The Chimeras are just too expensive for me to consider at the moment. I am toying with the idea of these guys,

Just like the look of them as well as the price. Might clip the gun barrel down a bit, too tank like at the moment.

Yes, I am familiar with the Brigade site and like their models very much. I think that would make an excellent "Chimera", as is. No Problem !

Check out the S/G site! ?
Epic Salamander with armored crew compartment!
Neat... but why?
Tony C. & Co., must have been watching "Patton" & "Kelly's Heroes" again. What purpose will it serve? APC? Recon? Command track? Prime mover? ?
Who gets it? IG? DKoK? ?
That's what "frosts" my butt, again! The IG need another vehicle like I need another pizza! ?
While Chaos and other get nothing! More reasons to be angry with G/W - F/W - S/G!

*whistle* Some of the Brigade stuff is really impressive. Do they sell only through mail order or are there stores that stock them (with a directory somewhere)? I really like those Lynx and Xie Fang APCs, and most of the CDSU vehicles - if I had access to those I'd so get a bunch.
EDIT: Also Days of Empire - some of their monster tanks are really impressive, and Gladiator's MBT combat engineer vehicle looks like it could make for a nice Gorgon proxy: http://www.gladiatorgames.co.uk/engineer_vehicles.jpg

And they show pics in the new F/W NL of the new Epic Ork Bomber & Fighter! |
Thanks for the tip! Damn those look nice!!! I'm afraid they are gonna look mighty big next to those e40k fightabommerz though ...I'll probably have to get myself a Bommer though!
Cheers!

I sort of like the armoured cab Salamander...
It looks like an Israeli AFV.

Quote (Legion 4 @ 07 2004 April,16:18) | Aren't you going to the U.K.? ? | I am indeed. I'm going to hope some stores do stock stuff by them and that I find some of these stores. A whole collection of CDSU tanks would, IMHO, make a great set of proxies for an IG army. Look a bit more techy than normal, and less Gothic, but still big and clunky.

Well you should have some good shopping in the U.K. "H!"
And, yes Maksim, I thought the same, I've seen a version of an IDF M113 with a built up superstructure, like that, on the news recently.
Primarch, if you are ever in the U.K., smack those "goofs" at G/W-F/W-S/G, that think everything should be another version of an IG AFV that looks remarkably WWII German!!!
