More hits against WE is a good argument.

Your're right. The Barrage Templates diameter is 1"/2,5cm to big.

Perhabs i should invent a new template. A 5cm Template called Small Template.

Or a new special ability:
Blast
Weapons with the Blast special ability fire a single explosive shell capable of destroying multiple targets. Make a single to hit roll for the weapon. If it hits then allocate two hits to the target formation as long as both units hit are within 5cm of each other. You can't allocate both hits on the same War Engine even if it is the only target.

Another option would be to give the weapons with a big blast two shots against infantry and one against armoured vehicles, to represent the fact infantry tend to be a bit more bunched up than tanks.

Not really. Infantry Squads and Tanks are usually the same distance away from other Squads or Tanks.

Hmm i really shoud come up with some way to directly transfer Wh40k weapon stats to Epic.......it would make some things much easier...and pretty much upsets a lot of people :D

Aniother way to look at it is that these massive weapons still need to get the centre of the template over a tanks otherwise they are at half strength.  against infantry it doesn't matter.

As a result they will only destroy one eemy tank but can get several squads under the template and get a dozen men.

Hmmm. So how about this?

Blast
Weapons with the Blast special ability fire a single explosive shell capable of killing large numbers of infantry. If the weapon hits then you may allocate two hits to the target formation following the hit allocation rules as long as one of this hits is allocated to an Infantry unit of the target formation.

I like it.  Possible add that no unit may be hit more than once.

I've just had a thought about the battle company.  It has at least 20 units with ATSKNF.  They are not going to break that easily.
