Coo, retrobugs, blast from the past. I think I like the Carnifex sulking in the background...

Hi Guys,
Jervis is going to reuse the old E-40k minis and I say that "unofficially."
There's a lot going on with the Nids.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Well, I can live with the Lictor, and even the Hive Tyrant ( ), but I really hope that the Tyranid Warriors are 'cool'. Anyone got pictures? I saw the variant heads, and the rumours of the upgrades to the 40K rule book, but I have not seen a new Warrior yet. That is the important mini for me.

What, do you mean for Epic or 40k CS? The Lictor pic has a Tyranid Guard in the background. I assumed thoose were the same as Tyranid Warriors but to be honest I don't know the first thing about Nids... That Tyranid Guard is a mean looking model though.
Cheers!

Hi,
have a look HERE and click on the Atlanta2005 pics link. There is a load of pics and some just below halfway down have pics of the Tyranid box art that show some different models. I'm not 100 percent sure they are warriors, but you may be a bit more up on Tyranids than me.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Hi!
Any minis are good minis.
Here's to hoping they can make them available.

Am sure it will have been a load off your mind to get that out. Hope it is well received by Epic community.

(Picture DCSN0313 on the 'Atlanta' link.)
I preferred the 'Alien' Hive Tyrant though, but if they change the Carnifex then I will be happy. The Zoanthrope looks better witgh every evolution, and I love the new one, the Lictor doesnt really change much at all, and I still like the original Genestealers the best - where are the claws?

I have just seen the Warriors at the bottom of the same page - sixth one up from the very bottom. Very similar to the previous versions.

They're making em a variable weapon fit according to the WD. Rending claws and razor sharp claws were on the models they featured.
It's what the feeder tentacles do that's intriging me. Suddenly, yer genestealer looks like a messed up mind flayer...

Yes, similarities to certain Futurama characters has been noted. But, the GS claws are just not the same. I want the three claws like the old version!

Ooo. New White Dwarf. "Broodlord"s have been added to yer HQ choices, so you can take these instead of Tyrants or Warriors to run the show. Looks like a bigger, more peeved off Genestealer in a rearing back roaring type pose.
And the Cults aren't in the new book.

Nice word filter. Don't see the word "peeved" often enough these days.

Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Hi Maksim
Found it hard to keep up with the flurry of posts on Nids Playtest Section of SG Epic Forums as I am mostly following the AMTL list at the moment.
From what I could see though you are already up to version 5.30 in no time at all. When do you think the Nid list will start to settle down with changes every few weeks rather than on daily basis?
When that happens I'll ask you to forward me a copy of the list in Word format so that my friends and I can try to playtest.
Cheers
James
