Thanks guys for the continued feedback.

So on the new sprue is the ork with a single backbanner a Nob or a Warboss?

I went and looked on the GW online store and they had a figure with 2 backbanners. I take it that is a simple conversion?

I then went and looked on Epiccollector.com. Unfortunately does show any Ork Infantry.  :(  

Then finally went to Solegends.com. There they show the old Ork Invasion sprue with each sprue having one Warboss (having 2 backbanners) and two Nobz (having 1 backbanner).

Can't see any of the "little nobs" that Justinel was referring to.

The new sprues also have the 2 banners as the Warboss and the 1 banner as nobs, same figs.
The guy I'm refering to is 2 steps to the right of the centre nob, I take it that this is the page you're refering to Solegend orks

That's what that figure is!!!

Thanks Justinel- I thought that was a normal Ork Boy. If that's an Ork Nob then I should have enough.

Weeelll, to clarify, I'm not sure if he's actually a nob, I just know that he is quite a bit beefier than the normal boy and bulks out my nobs wonderfully :laugh: , I wonder where you would find out what he represents.

Newbies (?!) ... :{  That Ork with 2 pistols in the air, was originally a Madboy (SM1&2) and in E40K a Skarboy ...  :D  So you could use him as a Nob to fill out the stand ! :;):

I am also using three Nobs and two Heavy Boyz - the stats give these guys two Heavy weapon shots anyway. The only time that I vary this is the 'Boss stand', where one of the Nob stands is the actual Warband boss and I pile whatever I like in the base. I really must get pictures up in my Gamers Tale thread!

The guys with the single back banner is a Nob. Two back banners I am using for Warboss.

To clarify, the second row, upside-down are: Grot, Madboy, Stormboy, Wildboy, Nob. Then the same repeated in the same order. I have just uploaded a picture of my first objective, and you should see a few in that.

Stormboy ehhh, I don't recall any kind of rocket or jet pack, will have to go home and check now, cheers for the clarification.

Nope ! :)  This was before the Rokkit Packs ! :o  So now there is two types of S/Boys.  The latest (E40K) have Rokkit Packs ... we call'em ... Rokkit Boyz ! :laugh:  And adjusted the rules accordingly ... :;):

OK, my first question - what to base Skorchas on - Warhamster bases, 2p pieces, or something completely different?

It looks like we're both starting an Ork army at the same time? You ever thought of doing AMTL??

I had the same thoughts yesterday when starting to assemble my first Ork figures. The Scorchas are fairly long and they look as if they will fit perfectly on warhamster bases. Check out Carl Woodrow's Orks at the dropship.org.uk- that's what he's done and they look great.

I am not sure what to do for the Warbuggies/Wartraks. They are quite a bit smaller than Skorchas- am worried that they might be swamped. Not keen on round bases such as coins. Freshmetal has based his Dethkoptas on coins and they look great. For more normal vehicles I think I want square/rectangular bases.

So I can either use the old plastic Epic infnatry bases, get some pre-cut plasticard or use the warhamster bases after all.

I thought about the Warbuggies too. I think that I will actually base these in pairs on Warmaster bases. Warbikes will be in threes and fours on the same type of base. This should keep them looking quite good, and allow some cool combinations.
