Yes healthy competitiveness is good, but obsessive compulsive mannerisms are another thing entirely!
Maybe its time to revisit this thread? http://www.epic40k.co.uk/epicomm....al;st=0

Ah but this time we are not against him, we are joining him in his brand of Epic Primarchish Insanity.
I am looking to see what I can do while remaining under budget. Not always easy.

Interesting...
Thats worth compiling a total (like I did for everyone's Titans last year) and posting on the official Epic forum...:;):

Epic obviously appeals to people who like EPIC scale conflicts and will feel motivated to accumulate suitable forces...
Personally, I'm guided by how much stuff I think I could use in a heavy afternoon/evening game without having to split forces across several players... I reckon beyond 20k would be stretching it, unless I started using lots of big titans. Other people can add their forces to mine for bigger multiplayer games.

I'm with you Markconz, also for financial reasons. Smaller armies lets me have more of them, and means they might get painted soon too.
I'm just laying out my IG force on the table now for some pics and it covers a normal 6 seater dining table. Thats as much as one person can handle in any game and let me have almost any force option I want or need.
Of course thats just be justifying my utter inability to build a true Primarchload. I'll settle for making the 20k line of apprenticeship which still isnt too shabby!

Quote (Legion 4 @ 12 2004 Oct.,03:58) | Of course ... having a lot of Epic minis is one thing ... knowing how to maneuver them on the battlefield/gaming table is another !!! | I don't know how to do that so I'll have to stick to having lots of 'em. Not that I have lots of them...yet!
I counted all my Squats yestarday. The grand (?) total is 27175 points using Net Epic point values. When painted the army is going to have the following forces.
Infantry: 11 warrior Brotherhoods 1 Thunderer detachment
Bikes: 6 Guild biker forces 6 Trike Detachments
Artillery: 3 Goliath superheavy artillery batteries 6 Grand Batteries 2 Thunderfire AA batteries
Vehicles: 2 Leviathans 2 Cyclops (what's the plural of this anyway?) 5 Colossi (sp?) 3 Land Trains with full complement of 7 Battlecars.
Airpower: 3 Air attack corps 2 Gyrocopter wings 1 Gyrocopter Squadron.
Not bad, actually, although I do need more AA.
