After a massive 18k/side dropsite massacre game hosted by the generously endowed Cal on monday and chatting with they playtesting crew, I have added just a few units to the list and made some tweaks, I will need to review my notes to make some further tweaks, then I will either release that as 0.7, or continue on to add some individual legions lists into the frying pan.

This looks interesting....

Cheers bud I have a new revision incoming with many fixes and four legion lists. No promises, maybe the weekend.

Still working, but here is an example Iron Warriors army list.

3990 total

360 predator strike squadron (3x predator destructor, 2x predator executioner units)

395 land raider squadron (4x mkii land raider phobos units, whirlwind hyperios)

850 Tactical assault detachment (8x tactical assault marine units, 2 support units, 2 heavy support units, chaplain, 3x spartan assault tanks)

240 castellax maniple (5x castellax and 1x magos dominus units)

175 tech thrall adsecularius (8x tech thralls)

495 sicaran battle tank squadron (6x sicaran units, whirlwind hyperios)

500 breacher siege detachment (6x breacher marine units, iron captain, 3x caestus assault rams)

475 Ferrus Manus (1x primarch and 3x gorgon terminator units, teleport)

500 super heavy tank squadron (3x legion glaives)

This looks interesting. Any news on the next version?

Couple of points for discussion.
Why the 0-1 limit on artillery?

Do we need Malcadors in the list, there's a lot of tanks in the list and I think there's some overlap.

Sicaran tanks. Do they warrant Reinforced armour? They are better armoured than predators but don't think they warrant reinforced. Looking a tmy copy of the forgeworld book maybe give them Thick rear armour instead. Would make them behave differently on the battlefield compared to preds and raiders.

Still on sicarans why firefight 6+? They've got more firepower than a Pred destructor?

Will try and get a game or two in soon (its got to be better than playing 40k 6th ed).

*Edit* One extra question, can we use the same stats for the plasma cannons on jetbikes and land speeders. My preference would be the AP5/AT5 stats from the jetbikes (slow firing as a rule irritates me).

Can't wait for the new book, very keen to see the battles post and the big IW vs IF battle. It was something that inspired me to do IW as one of my original armies.

Very interested to read about all of the legions covered h3re and to see if there are enough gaps filled to begin building mechanicus and legio titanicus lists!

Heard good things about it on Warseer.

Apparently the reason that it was delayed was to come after GW had released the Knight model. Really hoping that means FW will be doing 30K Knights!! A few FW variants to properly represent other variants would be cool.

Not massive fan of the new AM Tank, but at least they are giving AMTL a different look from both SM & IG. But so much of FW 30k stuff is just plain awesome. Having enjoyed the first half dozen Imperial Armour books I think I need to catch up to date and then start reading the FW HH Books.

My only problem is that I can't decide which 30K legion I would want to do in both 28mm and 6mm scales. Too many great options!!
