Sorry I missed it, sounds like a great battle.
Did you use the EA Ork list? I think if the SM are enlarged to a Heresy/Legion list it's going to be difficult to balance unless you write a Heresy Ork list etc, etc, for all lists. Not impossible but difficult, basically we need to balance it with the EA Marine list(s) even if within the 40k world this would be impossible.

Great work Daemonkin.  Points noted about the formation sizes and ATSKNF. Im keeping my head down till the end of the month, come early september ill get re-engaged with the list and hopefully do some playtesting of my own!

Lose ATSKNF and we can have truly Epic Marine formations, worthly of Heresy (without too low activation count)!


By the way, Traitors were just like loyalist, plus they had deamons and stuff. They did not have any major flaw, it truly was Humanitys Darkest Hour.

Give Traitors worse Strategic value to represent crumbling command or -1 initiative when they try to march, marshall or overwatch (so they attack as hard as allways, are just harder to, you know, not to attack).


Oh yeah, did they have Leviathans or Capitol Imperialis?

I believe they had both CI and Leviathan. Unfortunately I only have a lowly Leviathan!  

Ok so we stand with:
keeping the formation sizes as I edited them. 10/8/8 Tac/Ass/Dev
Lose ATSKNF
Traitors Gain Daemon Pool/pact upgrade for 25pts 1/7 points to summon LD/GD (i think these are current values)
Traitors are INI 2 unless advance/engage/double and get +1 for these

I have yet to try out mixed formations of tac and upgraded dev/ass but will try that.

Justiniel: Yeah it was a great game to look at - so much stuff causing chaos everywhere - and we weren't even traitors! The only criticism the Ork player had after the game was the marines and ATSKNF. He said the formation sizes were fine just hard to break.

So progress is being made. This list will be heavily tested and modified as the campaign goes on. Just glad to get some positive feedback from testers and have the guys open to playing different rulesets.
