Thought I'd share the current progress of my new city table for epic.
Started with a couple of reference photos for how i want it to look like when it's all finished

It's ended up super dense, once I started building it was hard to stop.

All the ruins

Couple of overgrown parks... now forests

Scale shot (Need some good line of sight blockers for those old forumware titans)

And some low city shots

And a quick test of some abandoned cars to break up the perfect roads

Ruins are the old school GW ones and Gregster's Lab
Buildings are from a company in Australia called BPLaser
Extra building doodads are from Wasteland Studios
The matt is from Deep Cut Studios
Trees I picked up at a various convention and the cars came from china

This is going to be fab, quite an open city too, are there any denser shanty areas going in? :-)

That's normally the other way for us here. Great terrain and models from everywhere else in the world....postage hits us hard. Especially from the UK

Yep, I expected the buildings to cost a lot more from Australia. Those look great and the prices are at what would be an instant-purchase-point for me.

The postage though – it's much more expensive Aus -> UK, than sending stuff from UK to Aus. 500g is £8.55 to Australia to send, but £14.73 to to get stuff sent to the UK from Aus! Still expensive either way, antipodes and all that i suppose :(

Very interested to see this project go forward, those car barricades are great

Very cool building indeed, i like your idea for a sort of post apoc city scene with everything over grown, look forward to seeing this city take shape ;)

Thats looking great! Did you ever see pics of the dropzone commander trade stand demo table (similar over grown city) ? Its worth checking out for ideas and inspiration. Their broken flyover is particularly great.

the result is awesome. I am curious how the lasercut things will look painted.

Did my walls work out fine or they were too thick?
