I recently had the opportunity to play a 28mm game of Longstreet on a Cigar Box Battle Mat and it was amazing.

Cigar Box Battle Mats

Not only do they have a nice grassy one, a scrubland version, and a snow field, but they also have a Mars mat, open tundra, a desert... the list goes on and on. Don't get discouraged by the ones with roads on them. They probably wouldn't work at 6mm scale. But the ones without roads and rivers... they look so good!

The mats worked well with terrain placed on top, as well as beanbag hills hidden underneath. There were no wrinkles, just a nice slope all the way around.

Have a look!
