Post subject:  Vallejo Textures - help!

Heya all, I like to make area terrain templates out of MDF with vallejo texture stuff on top. Normally it goes well but I have the Desert Sand one and it's a bit paler than I thought it would be. I need a matching colour to touch up the edges but I can't find the right one.

Vallejo have several colours with names like "Sand", "Desert Sand", "Desert Yellow" and I can't figure out from the swatches which one is the right one!

Does anyone have any ideas? :-X

I have that sand coloured paste and several Vallejo sand paints. It's to dark to have a proper look now daylight would be best so if no one else replies to this I will take a look for you tomorrow evening once home from work.

Thanks, I really appreciate it - it's not something I thought would be so difficult

Hey Stormwind the closest Vallejo match I have is dark sand, don't think you should have a problem with this shade it's pretty spot on as far as I can tell.

Ah yes that looks great, thank you!

I'm phasing out some of my GW paints and replacing with Vallejo droppers so I guess this adds to the growing collection. =-P

No problem mate glad to help.

Yes I did the same thing and mostly use Vallejo and army painter these days. Got fed up with GW constantly changing their paints all the time.
