Do you imagine these covering an entire table or just a smaller portion for a city?

It could be both. These are just the basic elements.
Later I'll make bigger city tiles too, to decrease the number of tiles needed to make a whole city, with longer roads, bridges, highways, multi level roads (that occupy more tiles) and so on.
I also plan to make terrain with this size and with bigger sizes too.

I am very interested. I guess printed and resin stuff is more expensive than MDF basic elements. I have fantasised about the huge CNC workshop Infinity board and the opportunities for multi level play that offers, canals and so on and pits:

having something like that for Epic sounds really interesting, but again, I would worry about the cost, especially for filling up a 6 by 4 board.

I think it is possible with MDF, but not with resin. The reason being that if you want to make something like that to be sold, you need to be expecting quite a few sales ,which requires quite a few people to be able to afford it. I guess the main issue is the planning. There is MDF stuff I have seen on this board which is very close to what you're describing. We're not that far away.

I have two main reason for HDF.
The first one is the size of the tiles. I can do much bigger tiles by laser cut than with 3d printing.
(Also 3d printing could be used but only combined with the HDF basic.)
The second one is that I have a Trotec laser cut machine in the office. ;)

Nowadays I have a lot of work in the office, so I have no update for you.
But I'd like to show you some papercraft models that I've found recently:

It's been a long time since I post anything. I'm still struggling with my daytime job, but fortunately I had some time to assemble the city tiles.

C&C welcome! :)
