Very nice! Huge nostalgia factor with all that green flock and golf course smooth hilly bits. |

That's some great stuff! Couple questions, how'd you get the slopes on the terrain? I've wanted to create hills that don't have overly aggressive slopes and your work is exactly what I envisioned. Second, where'd you find those trees? I like how they scale with the models |

YES! that's what I was going for, just like out of the books. gunslinger007 wrote: That's some great stuff! Couple questions, how'd you get the slopes on the terrain? I've wanted to create hills that don't have overly aggressive slopes and your work is exactly what I envisioned. Second, where'd you find those trees? I like how they scale with the models Ya that part of terrain has always been a pet pev of mine, I want to scream when I see ridged stuff. So I shaved off as much as I could with a knife and sand paper then what I did was cover the entire thing(cept bottem) with a polyfilla (stuff you use to fill in drywall holes) and then sand it down a bit to get rid of the bumps and bits. This also helps if you want to glue stuff to it like I did with the rocks ruins and bushs by allowing you to super glue it with out melting the foam. Just be careful when sanding too much cus if the foam shows threw then you might have a problems later. The trees can be found online, but ebay is generally the best and quickest way to do it. Just make sure you are buying the right scale of trees cus its almost impossible to tell just by looking at the pictures. The ones I used are a mix bag of 1,2 and 3 cm tall ones. But most are listed by scale (h,o,n,ect...) but generally they will give you a exact height if you read a bit. heres a example of one - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Peco-DG100-Deci ... 2c86d614a8 |

Your method is exactly the one I used when I did my old smooth hills. But I used plaster instead of filler. I sealed it with PVA and sand to strengthen and texture it. Has been surprisingly durable. Hope to see some in-game pics! |

Such a nice table. Simple, clean, just great. That Frontline Gaming mat looks very nice. I want one. Where did you get that nice stucco building? |
