Hi Gents, I'm a long time lurker and massive fan of this site and of what has been and is being created here. Anyhow I figured I should finally throw in my ten peneth and show you some of the stuff I've been working on (apologies for the photo quality - I'm no photographer and am using an IPhone). A couple of words of warning in advance... 1: It takes me months (and I mean MONTHS) to finish constructing anything. 2: I've not picked up a paint brush in years (I will do eventually - just haven't gotten around to it yet. The thread title is my little tribute to Carl Woodrow whose dropship page is just so insanely amazing it hurts... So, first up is my take on the epic version of the imperial strongpoint realm of battle tile (only made possible by the awesome grimdark trenchwork parts provided by a lovely bloke at Angel Barracks ). The basic hard landscaping is falling into place but there's still a lot of soft landscaping and detail work required... |

Thanks lads... I'm kinda pleased with it so far.... Its turned out a little bigger in scale than I had perhaps expected but if GW ever do a 10mm relaunch (as rumoured - although I hope not now, I've spent too long getting 6mm stuff together!) I'd still be able to use it. The part on the left is some kind of generator from the FW areonautica accessories pack (bunker + gun emplacement) that is now oop. |

Progress has been a little slow and painful (par for the course I'm afraid - mostly just filling in gaps with green stuff) so I'll hold off from any further pics just yet. The door panels are scratch built out of various slithers of plasticard. The brown pieces are cut from a sheet with rivets on, any excess rivets having been sliced off... It was pig to do... I think I need to add some outlying defences, at the minute, otherwise enemies can just 'walk right up and knock'. |

got some tank traps and pillboxes from leven miniatures a while back, he also does some nice looking 6mm observation and at bunkers in his ww2 collection and where pretty good price. thinking you could add sometanktraps, razorwire and bunkers on the approach with mines in between . btw I have tried using some kanthal wire for barbed wire and its pretty cheap 4 quid for 10 metres. stuff used in electronic cigs http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/rebuildabl ...
