Hey Guys, We have an annual tournament coming up here in late January. Our last day will be a demonstration game to enlighten the community about Epic. This year the theme is Istvaan V and the Dropsite Massacre. We will be using Fattdex's list and people have been pulling their old Epic out of the cupboards and dusting it off. The game will be played on a 2.5m x 2m board with 50 x 50cm tiles covering it. The points limit is around 60K at this stage. Should be a cracker. This will be a log of the build of that board. I have taken inspiration from the FW masterclass books. Here is the work so far. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers Aaron |

Impressive! I've been looking forward to seeing this come to pass since you talked about it when I visited. Shame I won't be able to see it in person. It's a big project though and less than a month to go, I hope you rope the others in to help get it made! I can't really tell that well as the photos are a bit dark but do the windows on the 40k scenery have anything in them to make them not look like windows? Either large guns sticking out (I would think Horus would have gun turrets, defence lasers, ect built in to his fortress) could be good or possibly statues/chaos icons. |

Awesome looking board ![]() Do you use anything to keep the tiles in place? I've been considering using dowel pegs on the edges. |

Adam, When Cthullugump and I built the tables, we put a boardder around it the is about 10mm higher than the tile. The holds them in place. I find using some cloth tape on the tiles also helps them sit a little tighter and it also prevents the edges from being damaged. Cheers Aaron |
