I just finished painting this (and used it in a game on Friday), and I noticed that Garben recently posted some pictures of one so I thought I'd show you mine:

It was relatively simple to paint: I sprayed it black, then sprayed it with Army Painter Uniform Grey. The roof was washed with Gryphonne Sepia and Devlan Mud, then the whole thing was drybrushed with Coat d’Arms Mid Grey. Then I picked out details such as the shutters, doors and various spikey bits.

Those buttresses really set the whole thing off.

It is great this model is in production again by Kibri, nice job on the bits and paint.

Looks fantastic! Could you please post a link to where it's available? Is it in N, O or HO scale?

Google "Kibri 6818", there are a few online stores which offer it, although I don't know whether it'll be in stock.

There are a couple of them on eBay from German sellers, at pretty reasonable prices.

Sweet. After seeing your pictures I had to get one. Think it was the last one on ebay.
What GW bits did you use to gothify it?

Cities of Death stuff, I bought a few boxes to make some 40K terrain and had loads of spikey bits left :)

Thanks. I would have added a load more but I was restricted by the base, which had to be small enough to fit into my modular city.

I got one on Ebay earlier this month for $54.00. Yes, it was because of Jodrell's use of it :)

Looks great! One idea might be to buy some brass etched eagles. You could paint them seperately and add after the paint job. But I think it would look good with aquilas above window arches and perhaps large eagles on the large plain surfaces on the towers. Anyway: Just a tought if you want to Imperialify it even more :)

I've used some etched brass eagles - there is a big one hanging over the main entrance, although you can't see it in the photos. I Like the idea of putting eagles over the windows, although I'll have to buy a couple of sheets to do them all!
